The next morning we all got up and got ourselves ready for the trip to New York. We were going to wait a week before going after the base. The team decided we would do some training for the Sons and ourselves so that everyone could be as prepared as possible for the fight to come. I wasn't really looking forward to seeing Steve but decided we needed to put aside our differences so we could make sure we pulled this off. As we all filed out I watched as Jax said his good byes to Tara and Abel. Ma hugged Clay close and I could hear her whisper something about him promising that both her babies would come home. Chibbs wrapped an arm around me and kissed the side of my head, whispering that everything was going to be fine. We all piled into a couple cars as Ma and Tara both got in driver's seats to drive us to the airport. I watched out the window taking in the town, hoping this wouldn't be the last time I saw my home. Once at the airport we found the private landing strip the team had set up to land the quinn jet on and I could see Steve, Jamie, and Clint all waiting for us. Tara and Ma said their good byes one more time. Clay had left strict instructions that the ones who stayed behind would keep an eye on things until they got back and kept Ma and Tara  safe. I walked past Steve without a word and Chibbs and I got settled in. They helped the rest of the sons get buckled in before everyone took their seats and prepared to take off. I kept going over the plans in my head I had made as Jamie explained that once there everyone would get settled and we would all meet together and go over the plan for the next week. Steve would continuously glance at me from the pilot seat, but stayed silent knowing we would have to set things aside to get this done. He had plans to talk to me though. A couple hours later we landed at the compound and filed out with our things. I was met by Wanda and Yelena at the end of the ramp and we hugged before I introduced everyone again to them. I led the sons to the floor where our rooms would be and found the team was kind enough to change things around so that we could all be on the same floor where my room was. Luckily the guys easily bunked up with each other so some of the team was able to stay where they were. Kate, Peter, and Sam were the only ones who had to move which was fine with them since they were hardly there anyway. Chibbs walked in after finishing talking with the guys and found me standing in the middle of the room just looking around. He shut the door gently and made his way to me, dropping his bag on the ground next to a couch. "Ya alright Lass?" he asked gently wrapping his arms around me. I nodded and sighed as I laid my head back against him, closing my eyes. "Just strange being back here, preparing for a mission," I said falling easily back into the person I was on the team. We stayed like that for awhile before Friday came over the intercom. "Its good to have you back, Ms. Teller, the team is ready for everyone when ever you are," Friday said in a robotic voice. I smiled having not really heard Friday's voice in awhile. "Thank you Friday, let them know we are on our way," I replied as I turned to face Chibbs. I kissed him deeply before we headed out to get the others and making our way down to the meeting room. I gave them a quick overview of where things were, but let them know all they had to do was ask Friday if they needed any help and I wasn't around.

Everyone was amazed at what they were seeing and stunned by the way people passing by would greet me with a smile and thanks. "Why  do they all thank you?" Clay asked, but I stayed silent, not ready to share that yet. Chibbs noticed the way my body language changed as we got closer to the meeting room. An air of seriousness settled on me and it reminded him of how a soldier would move. He could see why Jamie wanted me out of this life and why Tony had too. He remembered the dream he had had last night. A man in green and gold came to him and told him I would need him soon and asked that he keep me safe, not to let me do what I would more than likely try to do. As we walked in I was immediately greeted by Fury who I was  surprised to find was there. He chuckled at my surprise before pulling me into a hug. "What? My favorite girl offers herself up as bait and you think someone wouldn't tell me," he asked rhetorically. I rolled my eyes and introduced everyone to the full team before we all took our seats. Chibbs was the only one left standing me. He stood behind me like a guard ready to mess up anyone who challenged me. Fury nodded to Bruce who brought up a projection of the base we were going after. As we debriefed everyone on the information I had found with the help of Chibbs, the whole time all the sons but Chibbs just watched me in amazement at the way I was acting. It was almost professional the way I was talking and it really hit them how much this was a habit for me. Once I was finished that was when Fury stepped in. "For this to work Y/N has to be on her A game and since you lot, decided that you weren't letting her come alone, this does put a hold on things," Fury said looking down at the table. "I can't have my best distracted which means you all will be trained the way  the avengers were, to make sure everyone comes home and I don't have to kill anyone for messing the fuck up," He said shooting all the sons a serious look. He looked to me and I smiled giving him a small nod. We decided to start the training tomorrow so everyone could get a good night's rest before we started. As we made our way back to the floor, Steve watched at the way Chibbs moved with me. When I did so did he, almost mirroring me. Steve felt a small sting in his heart, knowing it could have been him that was standing by her right now. Jealousy was the next feeling so he decided to head to his room before he acted impulsively. I settled into a dreamless sleep in Chibbs' arms, hoping we weren't making a mistake letting the sons help. I couldn't bear it if anything happened to them. I woke up around 5:30 AM and decided to go ahead and get my day going, knowing I was about to have a sore day. I slipped easily out of bed from next to Chibbs and went to the bathroom to shower and change. Once done I grabbed my shoes and made my way quietly out of our room. I made my way to the elevator, not noticing Jax watching me from his door. He noticed Steve doing the same having heard her shower come on with his super hearing. I had a sad look on his face, knowing this was going to be rough. Jax watched him confused and decided to get himself ready and find her after. About an hour later, Friday helped Jax find the training room I was in. He watched me through the glass as I hit the punching bag as hard as I could. I was drenched in sweat and struggling to keep my breathing under control. I hated that I was here, I hated that yet again I was having to help take down Hydra to prevent something I didn't wish on anyone. I hit the bag again as my mind filled with anger and the bag flew across the room, trailing sand from where I had punched through the fabric and into it. I stood for a moment, catching my breath before going to the bag and cleaning it up. I didn't notice Jax walk in and kneel down in front of me until he placed a hand on mine and that's when I felt the tear slip free. He pulled me to him when he saw the fear in my eyes and held me tight as I tried to fight the sobs trying to break free. He knew it was for myself that I was scared and he placed a kiss on the top of my head as he spoke, "I promise you I got the boys, you just worry about making sure you come home, you hear me." I nodded finally feeling the wall fall down. Friday blacked out the windows with a message to not enter at this time as I finally let go. Jax hung on to me reminding that he would be right there for me. We stayed like that and when I finally calmed down Jax helped me stand. I gave him a smile as I headed to the locker room to clean up a little. Friday removed the black out and Jax could see Clay and Steve standing there looking confused with a panicked Chibbs. Jax shook his head and I came back out causing everyone to come in with Chibbs in the lead. "Lass, ya gotta stop doing that," he said as he wrapped me in his arms and lifted me up. My legs instinctively wrapped around him. I smiled down at him and for a second he saw the light in my eyes return a little. "I'm alright Gràdh (love)," I said and I could see the way his eyes darkened just a little. He carefully set me down before leaning in to my ear. "Careful Lassie," he whispered in a deep voice. My cheeks flamed red when I noticed Steve had been able to hear what was said. Chibbs walked away smirking, satisfied with himself and the sons chuckled as he walked by to stand by Jamie.

Jax helped me with hanging a new bag and then I gathered the sons to stand in front of me and the team. Jamie was the first to speak, "Now we can't go full force against you and there's no way we have the time to do that, but hopefully there won't be any enhanced in the field, but if there is Wanda is going to stay with you guys on the jet," he said starting to explain how everything was going to work. I stood silently between him and Wanda when Steve spoke next, "But we are going to have to push hard, we need to make sure you can hold your own, so Y/N can focus on doing what she needs to, to draw out Hydra," Steve said wearing his face in seriousness. "The main goal is to draw them out and deal with the leaders then destroying everything there. We can't leave even a shred of anything," I said now looking down, knowing they probably had something going on with the serum. Jamie and I were too successful for them to give that up. We got everyone teamed up and began teaching them moves that would be useful should the situation arise where we need them. I hadn't told anyone the full capabilities of what I could do once I had absorbed Loki's magic. As I watched everyone while taking a break I thought about what Loki had taught me and hoped I wouldn't have to use it to its fullest potential.
