They broke apart momentarily to look over the Accords individually. Signy sat in her bedroom, the thick packet splayed open on the end of her comforter. Her brows were drawn together and her lips moved subtly with the words as she read them rapidly. Only forty-five minutes later and she was halfway through the heavy piece of legislation when she heard a soft knock at her door. Signy looked up to see Pietro leaned against the frame of the door. "Come in," she said with a soft smile.
Pietro nodded and did so, coming first to her desk and aggressively dropping his copy of the Accords into her trash can with a loud thunk.
"Not a fan?" she asked as he came to join her on the bed. While she sat up, hunched over the packet, he laid across the comforter and dropped his head into her copy of the book, obscuring her view.
"It's a load of bullshit," Pietro said. "I don't need politicians telling me what to do. I've been militarized before. Wasn't a fan."
Signy sighed heavily and pushed a strand of hair away from Pietro's forehead. "Do you think this is what the moon was trying to tell me?"
"What you said on our birthday, you mean?" She nodded in reply. Pietro wrinkled his nose. "If the moon was trying to tell you that some guy in a stuffy suit would barely get away from your sharp tongue, then yes, I'm sure this was it."
She scoffed and brushed more of his hair aside softly. In the past month since they'd first kissed after the party, the two had been practically attached at the hip. This hadn't escaped the other Avengers noticed, but they largely let the two be, sure that they'd tell them what was going on when they were ready. And of course, being trained to pick up on small details, they hadn't missed the increasing number of marks often scattering each of their necks.
Though Signy was not ready to admit anything of the sort, she was quietly aware that they were definitely more than friends by now.
Pietro reached up and lightly pulled her chin down to him, softly pressing his lips to hers. "Was there a reason you came in here?" she asked quietly, amusement growing in her tone.
His lips tilted upwards playfully as he sat up and pulled her lips to his again. "Nope," he said easily, focusing his full attention on her addictive mouth.
Signy laughed, but allowed him to pull her towards him until she was straddling his lap. She ran one hand down his t-shirt, feeling the grooves of his toned chest below it, savoring the feeling of Pietro roughly squeezing her thigh, his fingers dug deep into her hair as his tongue swirled her mouth encouragingly. "I don't believe you," she muttered into his mouth when they momentarily broke apart.
He groaned and threw his head backward in annoyance. "We're meeting to discuss the Accords as a group."
"What? When?" Signy asked.
Pietro grimaced. "Now," he murmured, expecting the following slap to his arm.
"You're an idiot," she said, pecking his lips before climbing off of her bed. "Let's go."
