A small, blue car came around the bend of the parking garage, taking the open spot one over from the group's van. Out from it climbed a blonde-haired, blue-eyed man.
"Look alive, people," Clint said, the first to get out of the car. Wanda followed him.
The sound spooked the asleep man beside Alice and Signy, however. "Oh, hey! I know you!" he said when his eyes landed on Signy. "I'm Scott."
A small smile grew on Signy's face. They had been in the car together for hours, but it appeared this man just realized who he was traveling with. "I'm aware. You're the... Ant Man?"
"Yeah, yeah. I've got scientist friends who built my suit and... you don't care. It's cool. You have water powers, though." Pietro climbed over the seat, landing next to her and sliding open the door. "And super speedy guy! Yeah!"
"Nice to meet you," Pietro said, sliding the door open beside Alice. "Shall we, ladies?" He helped Alice down from the van, followed by Signy who turned back and nodded for Scott to do the same.
"Can't say I'm surprised to see the two of you here," Steve said with a slight smile when he saw Signy and Pietro. "How about our new recruits?"
"They're raring to go," Clint said just as Scott stumbled down from the van. "Might need a little more coffee in them."
"You're smaller than I thought you'd be," Steve directed towards Alice.
"And you're larger than I thought you'd be," Alice shot back, looking up at his towering frame. She gestured her hands towards his chest. "Very large frame."
"This is Alice," Signy introduced, quickly pushing the girl's hands back to her sides. "She can tell you anything you need to know about this man you're facing. She has... insider knowledge."
"She said as much to me over the phone," Steve said. "He's your father?"
"That's right," Alice nodded, back to her stern appearance.
She didn't offer anything past that and Steve didn't press the subject. He turned to the second recruit, Sam's pick. "Captain America," Scott said breathlessly as he shook Steve's hand.
"Mr. Lang," Steve returned formally.
"It's an honor," he said, then glanced down at their intertwined hands. "I'm shaking your hand too long. Wow! This is awesome!" He looked around as if expecting someone else to be freaking out like he was. He glanced between Steve and Wanda saying, "Captain America. I know you, too. You're great!" He focused on Steve again, shaking his burly shoulders. "Jeez. Look, I wanna say, I know you know a lot of super people so, thinks for thanking of me." His eye then caught on Sam. "Hey, man!"
"What's up, tic-tac," Sam greeted.
"Uh, good to see you. Look, what happened last time-"
Sam scoffed. "It was a great audition, but it'll never happen again."
