From above, Pietro watched with Wanda and Clint as three figures made their way out onto the airstrip. His eyes stuck to Signy like a magnet. He watched them stop in front of a helicopter when something flew down on it and short circuited its system.
Their gazes were drawn up to two heavy, metal suits which flew down towards the airstrip.
The head to the Iron Man suit pulled back, revealing Tony as he said, "Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?"
"Definitely weird," Rhodey agreed from inside the War Machine suit.
Tony nodded before they both turned to Steve. "Hear me out, Tony. That doctor, the psychiatrist. He's behind all of this," Steve said. "This is his daughter, Alice. She can help us put an end to it."
Before Tony could answer, another figure flew into their space. A dark suit with a face like a panther and a silver hue to the stitching. "Captain," he greeted. "And... children."
"Your highness," Steve nodded.
Signy raised a hand in greeting. "Sup, I'm Sig. This is Alice. She's a princess."
"Would you stop with that?" Alice complained.
"Anyway," Tony continued. "Ross gave me thirty-six hours to bring you in. Guess that includes your young companions now. That's a shame. Was hoping you'd do the right thing, Siggy."
"You and I no longer have the same definition of 'the right thing,'" Signy replied, trying to keep the shake from her voice.
Tony sniffed, ignoring her. "That was twenty-four hours ago. Can you help a brother out?"
"You're after the wrong guy," Steve said easily.
"Your judgement is askew," Tony shot back. "Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday."
"And there are five more just like him," Alice spoke up, more confident than she felt, standing in front of Iron Man.
"Can't let the doctor find them first, Tony," Steve said, with a small gesture to Alice. "I can't."
"Steve," came another, lighter voice from behind them. Signy felt her anger bubble up inside as her eyes landed on Natasha. The redhead didn't even spare her a glance. Nat didn't think she could keep it together if her eyes landed on the younger girl. "You know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?"
He glanced between Signy and Alice. "I have to stop him," Alice said quietly.
Signy met Steve's eyes meaningfully. "For Bucky," she whispered.
Steve nodded once.
"Alright, I've run out of patience," Tony said. "Underoos!"
Webs shot through the air and suddenly, Cap's shield was gone from his hands and the hands of Cap, Signy, and Alice were stuck together at the wrists. A skinny kid decked out in a red and dark blue suit landed in front of them, Cap's shield at his hip, and a large spider displayed on his chest.
