“I think in a moment of weakness, you might surprise yourself.”

― Lisa Kleypas, Mine Till Midnight

Crispin’s P.O.V

My spine prickled as a rush of heat overwhelmed my body and my fur quickly shrunk back into my tan skin. My smile never left my face as I slipped on my boxers and pants before buttoning up my shirt. Stopping mid-button I smirked evilly as I decided against it and unbutton them with haste.

I was going to make her suffer.

Just imagining Torrin made my pants tighten as the image of her sexy wind swept hair and cute pink tinged cheeks. I remember stalking around my mate eyeing her glorious body joying every minute I allowed my wolf’s keen eyes to take in every dip and curve to her luscious body.

“F*ck” I whispered to myself, while my wolf growled lowly in my brain making my ears pop in annoyance. I needed to mark her soon declaring her as mine and only mine. My hands were the only ones allowed to touch and savor each inch of her skin, and only my eyes were allowed to rake up and down her slender frame. “Bloody h*ll the things this girl does to me” I muttered, eagerly jogging back to the sweet smelling field.

Looking around the shadows darkened while I was gone and the moon was nowhere to be found. Creasing my eyebrows confused I knew I had to find Torrin. Her eyes wouldn’t be able to see like mine could. Running forward I followed her intoxicating scent but only to come up blank.

“Torrin?” I whispered. Darting my eyes around frantically dread ate at my gut telling me something was wrong. Seriously wrong.

“Torrin?!” I yelled keeping silent just in case I heard her make a noise.

Nothing.

She’s gone! She’s been kidnapped!’ My wolf yelled viciously. My body began to shake uncontrollably and my vision blurred red. A familiar wave of heat consumed me, but unbelievably hotter this time. “TORRIN!” I roared one last time before letting my wolf take over the sound of clothes shredding filling the air. Hunching onto all four paws my skin began tingling being in the aroma of Torrin’s scent. Too hectic to admire her smell soaking into my fur, I let my wolf run as fast as I could following her electric trail. I could sense two other presences as well and I already knew how it was. The scent was lodged into my brain automatically from day one. The day I thought I lost my life. ]

Blaine and Sylus.

Growling violently a new found energy boosted within and I took note that it was my vampire side coming more to life. The red tinted shrubs and trees flew past too quickly for a complete image to create but I wasn’t worried about my surroundings…I needed my Baby Cakes.

The aroma over me and the delectable scent was beginning to weaken and my wolf whined. Coming to a stop I was met with a large tree stump with a perfectly cut trunk. But the rest of the tree was nowhere to be found. Just a lone stump that held my only hint of whether I would ever see my beautiful mate again.

Don’t think like that!’ My wolf growled, slowly walking towards the white object. ‘We’ll find her and never let her out of our sight ever again

Transforming back in my human form, It didn’t bother me the slightest that I was stark naked. No one was here. But that saddened me even more. I knew she was gone.

Picking up the neatly folded note I opened the flap disgusted that a vampire even touched the same object.

‘Dear Alpha Crispin, It’s been a long time since we have spoken. Though I would love to catch up I have information to share. Oh I know right about now your uncontrollable mutt side of you is threating to take over and rip me to shreds. So predictable you dogs.’
