Crispin’s P.O.V

Two weeks.

That’s how long Torrin been asleep in that d*mn hospital bed.

I would wake up every morning right by her side, go home and shower, go to school and immediately come back to her side. That was what I did for the past two weeks and I was beginning to grown impatient. “

She’s fine Crispin, she’ll wake up in the next few days or so. Her body is just resting to create more blood for how much she lost. She also needed to sleep more and I noticed that she was hallucinating from not eating and she was dehydrated. The only thing I found in her system were pain pills. She just needs to sleep it off, that’s why she hasn’t woken up yet.” Dr. Lucas said while resting a caring hand on my shoulder.

“This is my entire fault…” I mumbled.

“For heaven’s sake Crispin! You’ve said that a million times and you know it’s not your fault. You didn’t hold that razor up to her skin did you? You didn’t tell her to starve herself! You didn’t tell her to not believe you!” Skylar screamed while slamming her fist on the arm of her chair.

I ignored her and stared at mine and Torrins intertwined hands. Her dainty, pale white hand looked so innocent compared to my rough, tan ones. I just wished I could make this all go away. All Torrins pain would vanish and she would finally believe me and we would live happily ever after, right?

Disney movies got it so wrong.

Dr. Lucas sighed and removed his hand from my shoulder to write something down on his clip board. He then looked up and cleared his throat. “Mace could you please come with me in my office, I need you help me to fill out some of Torrins files as best as you can.”

Mace nodded his head and they left the room.

“Well I’m going to go get some food, you guys want some?” Tate said with stretching out his back. Jeb and Skylar stood up and did the same. “Yeah, we’re in.” Skylar said while grabbing her wallet from the table.

“You want something Crispin?” Jeb asked while ruffling my hair.

I smoothed it back and said, “No.”

He sighed and said good bye as they walked out the door. I then stood up from my seat and hovered over Torrin protectively while staring at her blood drained face. I didn’t know what I was protecting her from, but it just felt right.

Her eyes were still closed and I just wished she would open them so I could see her big, brown eyes again; full with excitement, and mischief. I wanted her lips to be that cute pink color and her skin to turn back into a warm tan glow. Her hair shiny with perfect, long curls and her skin flawless and smooth with no trace of scars, to bring back the pain.

I wanted my Torrin back.

I walked over to the other side of the bed and began to unravel her left arm. It was no longer bleeding and I could see the words plain as day. Just reading them made me and my wolf angry as h*ll.

Why would she write those lies into her skin?

I walked back over to her right side and flipped her arm to see the thin white scars. They looked exactly the same and millions of questions bombarded my mind. Who wrote these on her arm? Did she or someone else? Was she bullied in her old school? Why would someone go that far in hurting themselves or another person? It’s wrong either way.
