Chapter 6

Beep…beep…beep!

I groaned and flipped over onto my stomach.

Ugh stupid d*mn alarm.

I opened my phone to shut up the noise and lazily stretched my arms. I straightened my legs and pointed my toes. I sat up right and twisted my back to hear the cracking of my bones popping.

I knew that it probably wasn’t the best thing to do for your back but I did it anyways.

I slouched my way over to the bathroom and took a quick, cold shower. The shower helped my wake up for the most part. I grabbed a towel and tightened it at my chest. I brushed my teeth and went back into the living room. I picked out an outfit for my first day of school and decided to dress up a bit for fun.

I got dressed did my hair and put on make-up I added a little eye shadow since I was going to dress up. I walked over to my bed side table to grab my phone and key. I stuffed them in my back pocket and opened the door.

At my feet was a black and gray back pack. I picked it up and looked inside. It had text books, notebooks, and stuff along those lines with a note. I flipped open the flap and read.

‘Morning Torrin, Here’s you a back pack for school. I didn’t know if you already had one. I even went ahead and bought everything you needed. Make sure Mace and the boys show you to your classes. Have a good first day. ~Mr. McCoy’.

I smiled. “I guess this was his way of taking pity on me.” I said quietly.

I slung the back pack around one shoulder and walked down the stairs. Mrs. Wells was sitting behind the counter with a Special K bar and what looked like a smoothie.

“Good Morning Mrs. Wells” I smiled at her.

She looked up and beamed at me. “Moring Torrin” She got up from her chair and gave me a tight hug. D*mn for an older lady she sure as h*ll has a strong grip.

“Here’s you a quick breakfast hon. I know it’s not much but it’ll do.” She handed me the smoothie and the bar.

I grinned. “Thanks”

She took that time to look me over. “Honey you’re going to have those boys falling at your feet”

I chuckled. “I’ll just have to go get a stick to beat them off with.”

She smiled. “Well you go ahead to school; I don’t want you to be late.”

I nodded my head and looked at the clock on the wall.

7:37.

School starts at 7:50.

Sh*t.

I waved back to Mrs. Wells and speed walked to the school while drinking my strawberry smoothie and snacking on my Special K bar. Students were filing in and grouping around the entrance talking to their friends and junk. “Wow, I haven’t seen that in forever.” I said to myself.

I walked to the front office and people were giving me looks. The girls were staring daggers at me and whispering “Who’s that?”, while the guys on the other hand were checking me out with hungry eyes and shouting (not whispering) “D*mn, that girl is fine”

I smirked to myself when this little freshman almost passed out.

My heels clicked in the hall way as I made my way to the office. I opened the door to find a young blonde chick with glasses.
