“What brings you here with such a beautiful young lady?”
Mace glanced at me then to Mrs. Wells.
“Her car broke down and Ray is going to look at in in the morning, do you mind if she stays here?” She looked at me and smiled even bigger. Her eyes were full of joy. “Of course she can, come on sweetie, I’ll show you to your room”
She grabbed my hand and rushed eagerly to the stairs. I skidded to a stop and made her stop with me. “Wait, don’t I need to pay for the room and sign in and stuff?” I asked completely confused. “It’s ok, it’s on the house” She smiled once again and dragged me to my room, number 13. She unlocked it with a key and handed it to me. I nodded my head ‘thanks’ and stuffed it in my pocket.
We entered into my room and I looked around. The walls were a caramel color and the floor was dark brown wood. The bed was a queen size to the right with all white sheets. There was a small couch in front of it with a mini flat screen on the wall. To the left of the bed was a larger window with white curtains. To the left of the TV were two doors. One was a bath room and one was a miniature walk-in closet.
I turned to Mrs. Wells and noticed the guys had followed us. “Thank you soo much Mrs. Wells.”
I gave her an awkward hug. I mean this lady was giving me a free room. She deserved a hug.
“You’re welcome hon if you need anything come looking for me” She turned towards the guys
“Good night boys”
They said ‘night’ and she walked away. “Okay so at 8:00 we’ll come pick you up and we’ll go to Rays and check out the damage” I nodded my head and closed the door.
I threw my duffle on the couch and got out panties, and a big t-shirt. I took a quick shower and slumped onto the comfortable bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was a goner.
Tomorrow was going to be a long day.
