 “I’m so sorry”

He whispered. I choked out a small sob. “I-it’s ok”

Soon more arms were wrapped around me but more awkwardly but I didn’t mind. They were just trying to be nice, no need to be rude. I know I had said that I didn’t want pity from anyone, but it’s been a long time since I spilled my guts out.

I could feel a huge wait lift from my shoulders. It felt good.

I slowly pulled away and noticed that Tate was the first one to hug me and Mace and Jeb followed along. I looked over Tate’s shoulder to see Mr. McCoy looking apologetically at me.

I bet he doesn’t think I’m a runaway criminal now.

Gently, as if I were made of glass, the guys pulled apart to look at me sympathetically. I’m pretty sure I won’t hear any perverted jokes soon.

Mr. McCoy walked up to me and put his hand in my shoulder. “How about you stay and live here?” My eyes widen.

“What?” I said barley over a whisper. D*mmit I hated feeling to pathetic, and fragile. But I couldn’t help it when I notice how screwed up my life is.

“You can have a fresh start. You can get a job at one of the clothing stores, or cafes or whatever. And you can go to school with the boys.” He gave me a small smile.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. “Where would I stay…I don’t have any money.” He scrunched up his mouth to think.

“You can stay at the motel with Mrs. Wells. I bet she’ll be more than happy to have company.” Mace offered. “Do you think that she’ll let me?” Everyone smiled. “Yeah”

I nodded my head.

Mr. McCoy dropped his hand off my shoulder. “Well I need to inform the high school that there’s going to be a new student.”

He turned to Mace and the guys. “Would you 3 show her around town, maybe help her find a part time job?” They nodded.

Tate grabbed my hand in a friendly way and we walked out of the police station. While we were walking I tried wiping my red, puffy eyes from my tears. “I hate you guys for making me cry.” I said accusingly.

They only smirked.

***After getting a job at a little café called ‘Crescent Cakes’ with a short plump lady named Mrs. Beth we made our way to the high school. “So what’s the school called?” I looked to Jeb for an answer.

“Silverwood High, home of the wolves” He said with a proud smile.

I only nodded my head. Good thing the school was just around the corner from where I lived now, so I could walk. No big deal.

***We arrived to an old looking school with gray bricks. But I knew better by now that even though the outside of these town buildings looked old and worn down on the outside; the inside was a different story. Surprisingly the schools front doors were unlocked so we just sauntered inside, careful not to get caught.

Haha, dumb *ss school, people could just come inside and TP the whole place and it would be the schools fault.

They showed me the cafeteria, library, gym, and front office. “Wanna go get something to eat?” Mace asked us. I nodded my head eagerly while Tate and Jeb groaned and held their stomachs. I smiled a bit.

“Idiots” I murmured.

I could tell I was going to like these guys but hopefully their perverted ways would come back soon. To tell you the truth I kinda missed it. And it was my fault for them taking pity on me because I cried. Ugh. I’m so d*mn stupid.
