"Our house is made out of four walls and a door, some crooked old bricks, and a creaky old floor

"Our house is made out of four walls and a door, some crooked old bricks, and a creaky old floor." I speak quietly to Romeo, holding him close in my arms while he snuggles into my body. "But I've got a secret. Come this way with me! I'll show you some things that you can't always see."

He lets out a little giggle, cuddling closer in my arms with a soft sigh before he turns the page. I actually think we might get through the entire book together tonight.

"In the room we bake, but we never just bake... We sing into spoons and get covered in cake! We dance in our aprons and taste what we make. We work as a team when we're learning to bake."

"Can we make cupcakes with friend Harry?" He murmurs in question, keeping his finger on the page to trace the bright images.

A smile coats my face at his inclusion of his new best friend, I think he misses him already - I know I do. "Of course we can Romy, when he comes home we can show him our secret recipe!"

He lets out a little gasp, tilting his head back to gaze up at me. "Our secret recipe, Mumma?"

"Mhm, do you think we can tell him?" I question softly.

My arm loops around him more and begins to play with his messy curls in the hopes he's soothed to sleep quicker, wanting to relax his little mind. He nods gently, "yeah 'cause he's my best friend... and Mumma's best friend... did he do his singin' for his friends?"

Slightly surprised that he remembers that from earlier today, I nod my head and grasp my phone from where it's fallen onto the floor to look at the time. "He's singing right now, Romy!" Heading online, I quickly found a video from an update account that seems to post content from his concert as it happens. I tilt the phone so Romeo can see the video of Harry dancing around in a sparkly blue outfit to daydreaming.

Romeo gasps, covering his mouth with the tiny palm of his hand. "Harry's so pretty! So sparkly, Mumma!"

My nose crinkles from how bright my smile is, also watching the video over his shoulder in awe of the man I genuinely adore. "He is so pretty, Romy, you can tell him when he's home - I think that would make him smile sooo big!"

A soft giggle leaves Romy at the idea, my lips dipping at the corners as he rewatches the video and begins to dance slightly beside me. He tries to find more videos but not much else has been posted so he glances up at me pout, "friend's gone."

I gently take the phone, "there will be more videos ready in the morning for you to watch." I assure, knowing there will be an influx of fun clips for my son to watch when he wakes up tomorrow.

"Okay Mumma." He murmurs, happy with my answer and snuggling back into my embrace so I can continue reading his favourite story.

"In this room we eat, but we never just eat... We party like pirates and hunt for a treat! We climb under tables and tickle some feet. We share lots of giggles each time we eat." I whisper, "in this room we chat, but we never just chat... We dress up like rockstars a-"
