the unwanted flashback

~take back to 2018 when the incident happened~

everyone was in the living room watching the movie while splinter was sleeping, you and donnie cuddled and played with each others hands up until all of you heard a bang

"gUys, hEy guYs!" april appeared intoxicated
"woah red, are you ok?" asked raph
"hAHa nOpe, mE AnD CAsEy JuSt bRokE uP" she kept slurring her words
"april i'm so sorry, here, let me prep the bathroom quick" you ran quickly to fix up what you need
"here sit right here" leo and donnie try to calm her down
"april, what's going on?" asked mikey
"i TOld yOu, mE aNd cAsEy brOke Up"
"but what happened" asked leo
"wElL hE BrOuGhT Up tHe wHole "i'M iN lllOvE wIth dOnNie bUt iT's NoT tRuE" however she kept grabbing donnie by the neck
"it's gonna be ok april" said donnie
"i'm almost done you guys!!!, have some of you bring her here!!!" you yelled

donnie and leo grab her and send her to you however things took a horrible turn

"dOnnIe, i LIed, i LoVe yOuu So mUch" she then grabs donnie and starts to kiss him

he was taken aback and tried to get her to stop but april was not letting go but before he could you saw what happened

*gasp* you let out a horrid gasp
"(y/n) it's not what you think" leo tried to explain
"YOU WHORE!" you slapped april to then knocking her
"OW!, (y/n) why did you do that?" she sounded more reasonable and less of slurring her words
"why are you kissing donnie???" you yelled
"he still lovEs mE, lOok, he's BluShinG"

donnie was not blushing, it was anger

"don't play when me o'neil" you were ready to hit her again until donnie had to stop you and leo grabbing april
"(y/n) donnie was trying to pull away she had a grip on him  and she wouldn't let go" leo tried to calm you down
"it's true babe, i was trying to get her off of me and she wouldn't let go"

even tho you know donnie wouldn't ever do such thing your heart and mind just couldn't stand at the fact that for a moment you actually felt heartbroken and began to break down and over thinking, as you tried to fight her back leo kept trying to get your attention to calm down while donnie held you tightly and petting your head

"(y/n) please, she doesn't know what she's doing" leo kept trying to pull april away until she said the most heart wrenching 4 words

"he still loves me"

by that tone she had it sounded real, she sounded conscious as to what she was saying , those 4 words is what pierced your soul and made you break down, you didn't fight back anymore, you gave up and began to cry heavily while donnie still holding you

"guys help me take april to the bathroom to clean her up" said leo while still carrying april

the guys follow while you still are crying and have never felt broken in so long, even tho it was not true your mind did not let you let the idea go of donatello actually still having feelings for her

"(y/n) please, i know what your thinking, please don't" he hugs you from behind
"i-i just can't" you muttered
"nothing that she said was true, please don't cry" he looked at you with sincere
"i *sigh* i need to go home" donatello was still holding you and didn't want to let go
"talk to me please" he pleaded

he turned you around you cried even more looking at his distraught face, this caused you to cry on his plastron chest and could not stop. as this happened you were thinking heavily and the words that were about to come out of your mouth knew were going to break his heart and as much as you didn't want to say you you did

"i need space donnatello...from you...from here" you huffed

his heart shattered and tried to talk some sense into you
