when you go to your usual spot

you guys often had many different spots to hang out in but your most precious place was always the tops of the MET museum, you both had a fondness of looking at the artifacts and the art that the building had in and with both your ninja stealth you would often sneak in after hours. in this particular day they were showing a mini orchestra show in the event hall and you were excited to see

"what do you think they will be playing?" you asked
"not sure but i'm pretty hyped myself" he said
"is it opera or orchestra?"
"i think i read opera but could be wrong" donnie pulled down his binoculars for a close up of the sign "ah it says orchestra"
"nice, i wonder what they will be paying tribute to?" you ask
"shh shh it's starting" starts to hold you

you gasp realizing this song comes from one of your favorite foreign films

"what is it?" asked donnie
"it's a song i really enjoy from a movie" you admire the orchestra

donnie sees this and is mesmerized by how in awe you are, he always found you beautiful but in this very moment he found you breath taking, he wanted to ask questions about how you know the song and what film it's from but he didn't want to bother you. he sat close to you and you both watch the show, you admired everything about the show, from the violin playing to the piano. something about this song made you feel so many emotions, donnie does break a bit of the silence for a moment

"hey (y/n)?"
"yea?"
"what's the name of the film you heard this song in?"
"it's amore mio, aiutami, it's an italian film but it's such a sad romantic one"
"may i ask what about this film you like?"
"mainly the music, it makes me think about a future i hope to see someday"
"am i in there?" he jokes
"ofc you are" you laughed

the song then continues more and you stay in awe and donnie never stops looking at you, he's seen how intrigued you can become but not this much, he then smiles and pulls you close to watch the show,  you then start to tear up because this song always hit a spot in your heart, you never knew why but i always happened

"hey are you ok?" donnie turns you to face him
"yea *whip tear off* it's just an emotional song that's all"
"*chuckles* (y/n)...you're too perfect to cry"
"thank you, it's just such a good song"

he then hugs you and pats your head to relax you, as the song continues the night becomes full of stars

"i love you sweetheart" he looks at you
"i love you darling"
