when he tries to make you laugh

you came back from work and it was really stressful, you never felt so drained in your life, normally you went home but you decided to head down to the lair and hang out with the guys

"hey guys" you said in a tired voice
"hey...you look terrible" raph said with sarcasm
"haha funny" you said sarcastically back
"my angel your back" donnie hugged you
"hi...i'm gonna go lay down, work was very stressful"

donnie looked a little concerned, he knew you weren't tired, he knew you were either going to cry or feel numb the whole day

"(y/n)? sweetheart are you ok?" he came to his room where you sat down
"not really, i almost lost my job today"
"why what happened?"
"i was just doing what i had to do and the next thing you know someone thought it was a good idea to be rude and i personally just did not care about till that said customer called me out by name so as much as i didn't want to i called them out too and they tried to make it such a big deal that my boss got involved. so they gave me the warning slip" you sat in sadness
"oh so sorry, look i know your hot headedness can happen but at the same time no one should ever talk to you in that way" he tried to comfort you
"thanks donnie, it means a lot" you hug him
"now let me see that smile i love"

you did a fake smile but you couldn't take your mind off the situation

"c'mon (y/n) please" he begged like a child
"as much as i want to i can't" you said

donnie got up and thought of something to cheer you up

"hey (y/n)?"
"hmm?"
"how do you make an egg-roll?"
"how?"
"you push it" he giggles
"what?" you question and tried not to laugh
"wait wait i have another, what do splinters eat before they race?"
"hot soup?" as you refer to splinter
"nothing. they fast"
"donatello what?" you tried very hard not to laugh at the bad jokes
"ok ok, another one, what do you get when you mix tungsten, sulfur, and silver?"
"what donnie?" you prepare for what's next
"SWAG" he gave you a peck on the cheek

that joke gave you in and you laughed very hard, when it came to jokes donnie was pretty bad at them but you didn't care, as long as he made you laugh and happy you were ok
