you've been eyeing on these new goggles that came out recently for donnie's night vision goggles and you noticed one of his lenses started to crack but even with him fixing and replacing it still never stays unbroken, but you luckily found a breakable set. as you waited in line you just couldn't wait for donnie to see the new goggles you're about to give him. meanwhile he also decided to give you a gift or in this case make one but he didn't know whether buying or making would be better
"no not that...*he looks through his tool box* she has that already *as he scrounges around looking for something, mikey comes in to ask what's he doing
"hey D, whatcha doing there"
"trying to figure out what to surprise (y/n) with as a gift...i feel like i've made/bought everything"

as donnie puts his hoodie and leaves to the thrift store he sees you from the distance and avoids you so you wouldn't see him, for a split second you see him and you try to hide your face so he doesn't see where you are
"fuck, i hope he doesn't see me" you say
"shit, "i hope she doesn't see me" he says
as you guys try to avoid each other you both buy what you need and head back to your homes
"omg i really hope he didn't see me. ok so the only tweaks i have to make is just sewing in his initials on the band and make sure the compact of the lenses don't fall out at all"
you then do as you plan and wrap up the gift and hide it out in case he came over later in the day. we pan back out to donnie doing the same
"man i really hope she didn't see me, now i just have to clean up the bracelet, add 3 charms on it, meld them on to the bracelet, add
atleast 1 jewel and it's set
as donnie does what he plans he starts melding titanium and makes 3 charms that are related to the two you, 1 of a star with a purple jewel on it because of how you guys always looking at the stars, 2 being a musical noted because you both always connected with music, and 3 was a heart with his and your initials on it, but it wasn't just a basic little heart, he sketched out lines like a locket heart would have ok it and made it pretty as possible
"ok, finished, i'm just gonna put it in my battle shell, go to her apartment and surprise her with it"
as the day passes he arrive at your house while you work on your homework from college and you what a knock at your window, you know it's him and make sure the gift is hidden then you go let him in
"hey you" you said
"hey you" he kisses you
"so are we doing anything today?"
"not really buttttt i do have a surprise for you"
"for me? you didn't have to"
"no no don't you start, yes i wanted to"
"how sweet, thank you"
he pulls out the little square box

"yes for you" you got get up and get the box
you come back with the medium sized box and place it in his hands
"i can't believe you got me something"
"why wouldn't i?"
"no clue but eh"
"ok open it"
he slowly opens it and you are very anticipated to see his reaction, he then finally sees it

"yes they are donnie"
he pulls out the goggles and sees how similar it looks like his old one but he doesn't discover the bulletproof lenses
"but look, i want you to see something" you then go get your bb gun
"what are you doing?" he sounds afraid at first
"trust me, put them on"
"ok..."
he wears them and tries them on
"wow you really narrowed down every detail of my old ones"
"ok don, sit still"
you pull out the bb gun
"(y- Y/N) what are you doing?!?"
"chill, now look"
he shoot it at the lens and at first he freaks out but he pauses seeing the lenses didn't break
"it- it didn't break...but how?"
"well my sweet tello i saw that your lenses always broke when we would be on missions and you always had to fix and fix and fix, so i got you these new goggles with the bulletproof lenses that won't break"
"you didn't have to..."
"it's ok, it's for you" you smile with joy
he smiles back at you and hugs you tightly
"i love it babe, thank you so much"
as you guys are done hugging toy admire both your surprised gifts from each other
