the unwanted flashback pt.2

Donatello POV

it was super late in the night and my brothers and i along with (y/n) were in the living room watching the movie while splinter called it a day and went to sleep, as we sat and watched the movie me and (y/n) were cuddling and played with each others hands up until we heard a large thud coming from the lair entrance, we all hear commotion coming from the lair entrance, it was april, she looked very different but not the good type of different

"gUys, hEy guYs!" april appeared intoxicated
"woah red, are you ok?" asked raph
"hAHa nOpe, mE AnD CAsEy JuSt bRokE uP" she kept slurring her words
"april i'm so sorry, here, let me prep the bathroom quick" (y/n) ran quickly to fix up up the bathroom and any extra stuff she needed to help
"here sit right here" leo and i try to calm her down
"april, what's going on?" asked mikey
"i TOld yOu, mE aNd cAsEy brOke Up"
"but what happened" asked leo
"wElL hE BrOuGhT Up tHe wHole "i'M iN lllOvE wIth dOnNie bUt iT's NoT tRuE" she kept grabbing me by the neck
"it's gonna be ok april" i said to her
"i'm almost done you guys!!!, have some of you bring her here!!!" yelled (y/n)

leo and i grab her and send her to (y/n) in order for her to calm down however things took a horrible turn

"dOnnIe, i LIed, i LoVe yOuu So mUch" she then grabs me and starts to kiss me on the lips

i was taken aback and tried to get her to stop but april was not letting go but before i could (y/n) saw the entire thing

*gasp* she let out a horrid gasp that i knew was heartbreaking for her
"(y/n) it's not what you think" leo tried to explain
"YOU WHORE!" she slapped april to then knocking her out
"OW!, (y/n) why did you do that?" she sounded more reasonable and less of slurring her words
"why are you kissing donnie???" she yelled
"he still lovEs mE, lOok, he's BluShinG"

i was not blushing at all, my face in fact was only red because of how angry i was

"don't play with me o'neil" (y/n) was ready to hit her again until i had to stop her and leo grabbing april, as much as i wanted her to do it i couldn't, it was immoral and fighting never solved anything
"(y/n) donnie was trying to pull away she had a grip on him and she wouldn't let go" leo tried to calm you down
"it's true babe, i was trying to get her off of me and she wouldn't let go" as i explained to her know she would start to cry

i would never in a million years break her heart, (y/n) is and always will be my everything, however, knowing her deep down she felt her heart get pierced  and her overthinking makes it even worse, i knew for a fact she just couldn't stand the idea of me and april together, and neither could i. in that moment as i saw her i knew her heart shattered and she began to break down and over thinking, i knew she tried to fight back but leo kept trying to get her attention to calm down while i held her tightly and petting her head

"(y/n) please, she doesn't know what she's doing" leo kept trying to pull april away until she said the most heart wrenching 4 words that i knew that the love of my life's heart would shatter and break into pieces

"he still loves me"

based on how she said it, it sounded too real, she sounded conscious as to what she was saying , those 4 words i knew would break (y/n)'s heart and from that moment, she broke down, my heart hurt for her, hell it broke my heart because i love her so much that i feel her pain. however, in a sense i felt her stop fighting back and felt her body turn cold as i was holding her.

"guys help me take april to the bathroom to clean her up" said leo while still carrying april

the guys follow behind my brother while (y/n) was crying, i have never seen her so heartbroken, not since her father passed, even tho it was not true what april said and for the life of me it will never happen between us i knew that my darling's mind did not let her let go of the idea go of me still liking her. she is however wrong, ever since (y/n) my feelings for april have long disappeared and will never appear, she led me on and i will never forgive for that. but a lass, despite april being taken care of my brothers i still hold my love.
