Demi's POV
After waking up the next morning and getting ready for the day, Miley and I head down to the cafeteria where breakfast is served. She shows me how breakfast works, which is just like any school. Get your tray, pick what you want, and sit down and eat. When we get our food, which actually doesn't look bad at all, we go sit with her friends.
" Demi, this is Sterling, Bec, Taylor, Tiffany and Ryan. Guys this is my new roommate Demi. " Miley says pointing to each one as she says their names. I say hey and sit down, eventually everyone starts chatting and I just stare at my food not wanting to eat. I observe each one of them knowing that if I do have friends here, these guys are probably going to be them.
Sterling has short dirty blond hair, with blue eyes, and a slight aftershave. He has kind of a bad boy feel to him, wearing nothing but simply a black tee, black jeans, and old vans. Bec, is well...gorgeous. She has long black hair with dark red streaks, it makes her look really bad-ass. She also has pretty brown eyes, she's wearing just a band tee and jeans. The other thing I immediately notice, is that she has a lady bug tattoo on her fore-arm. I think I could like this girl.
Taylor is also beautiful, she has long curly blond hair and blue eyes. She's wearing a cute white summer dress with bright red lipstick which on most girls, doesn't look that great in my opinion, but on her it looks good. Tiffany is also blond with blue eyes making me wonder if her and Taylor are sisters, she has a bright warm smile that would lure any guy. She's wearing a cute blouse and jeans making it a little hard to read her. And the last person, Ryan, who's currently checking out some girls who are walking by. He has short brown hair that is combed back, brown eyes and has tattoo after tattoo lining his arms. His shirt is loose at the chest, and he's wearing very tight red jeans. Total rocker-skater look.
Sterling, Bec, and Ryan look like they belong here. Taylor and Tiffany don't though, they look too...girlish if you know what I mean. I look over at Miley who is telling a story about a time she went cow tipping in Nashville with her brother, I tune out a little staring at the meal in front of me that looks delicious. Turkey bacon and whole wheat waffles, I guess this place is only going to serve healthier meals. Even though the temptation to take a bite of the waffles, I resist.
I look up from my food and notice Sterling staring at me, he then winks at me when he sees that I noticed his staring. I can feel my cheeks burn and I look down, what was that all about? I look back up and see him still staring at me making me feel a little uncomfortable, why is he staring?
When an announcement comes over the speakers telling us all to start our day off by going to our first activity on our schedule, everyone at our table gets up and empties our trays into a nearby trash can. Miley gives me the eye when she notices that I didn't touch anything on my plate, I just shrug it off. She already knows I don't eat.
The first thing on my schedule is to go to Kate's office then to the health center to get a check up on me. I then start to walk to Kate's office feeling nervous, I wonder what we are going to talk about. When I get to her door which is already open, I walk in and find her at her desk looking over a few papers. She looks up at me as I enter and immediately smiles.
" Good morning Demi, close the door behind you and come sit. " She says gesturing to one of the two chairs in front of her desk. I sit down in the plush maroon chair and try to make myself comfortable, who knows how long I could be here.
" So how do you like Miley? Do you think that you guys could be friends? " Kate asks leaning back in her chair.
" Yeah, she's nice. " I say awkwardly intertwining my fingers.
" That's good, did you meet anyone else at breakfast? Perhaps some of Miley's friends? " She questions writing a few notes on a notepad that I just noticed in her hands.
