Chapter 18: Love

Demi's POV

I woke the next day to the noise of the toilet flushing from inside the bathroom, I looked over at the clock to see that its seven o clock. I rub my eyes trying to wake up a little bit, there's little light coming from outside the window. The sky is gray and cloudy, I wonder if today's weather is going to be rainy.

The bathroom door opens and Joe walks out with half closed eyes, he notices me and smiles. He then says " Hey girl. "

" Hey boy. " I reply back with a smile, his hair is all messy. I do have to admit though, its kind of hot. He then climbs into the bed and lays down by me, I lay my head on his arm feeling close.

" Sorry if I woke you. " He says looking down at me, I pull the sheets on top of both of us since its a little chilly.

" Don't worry, I like being up early some days. " I respond truthfully, most of the time I like to sleep in, but then some days its nice to be up early and have more time.

" Good, cause I don't know if I'll be able to go back to sleep. I'm going to need someone to keep me company. " He says smirking, I chuckle loving his sense of humor.

" Well i'm all yours. " I say getting up from my position and on to my elbow so I can see him better. He smiles moving hair out of my face with his gentle hand, his hand lingers on my cheek rubbing it softly with his finger.

" You're so damn beautiful. " he whispers with a small grin, his eyes with all seriousness.

" Thank you. " I say back taking in his compliment, they way he said it makes me know he isn't lying. It feels nice to know from him with every time he tells me. He just smiles in response and scans my body. 

" Demi...when do you want to...you know. " He asks blushing, at first I have no idea what he's talking about, but then it hits me. 

" I don't know, do you want to do it...like soon? " I ask knowing I've been thinking about this moment for a long time, I just don't know how we could do it soon. 

" Well I don't want to pressure you to do it if you don't want to, but I sure wouldn't mind. You're the only one I want to go there with. I think we both know that we're going to be together for a long time, I'm never going to leave you...so why not? " He asks awkwardly looking straight into my eyes. 

"...Yeah I think we should. " I say smiling feeling suddenly nervous, I can't believe we're actually talking about doing this. 

" Well...do you want to like go somewhere today since this is our last day together? We won't see each other for  a while. " He asks smiling squeezing my hand.

" Where would we go? " I ask unsure of what he's talking about, i'm also getting very nervous since he's talking about doing it today. 

" Well...maybe we can rent a hotel room just for the night and only stay for the day. " He says with the question in his eyes. 

" Ok...it sounds like you've been thinking about this a lot? " I ask smiling, this is really happening. 

" Yeah I have...just so you know Demi, I only want this because I love you very much. I won't leave you after, I won't treat you any different. " He says with all seriousness in his eyes again, I smile because of what he said. 

" Thank you. I love you too. " I say kissing his lips softly, the love between us is great. I can tell we both want to go now. 

" Let me go get ready. I'll come back and we can leave. " I say getting up from the bed with a smile, he nods his head in agreement getting up as well. He kisses me on the lips one last time before I leave, I almost run up to my room feeling shaky. I can't believe this is happening. 

When I get to the room, I see Kate asleep in her bed. I try to be quiet while getting in the shower, even though, I know I'll wake her. When I'm done with the shower, I get out and put on clean underwear trying to pick out the sexiest pair. I then blow dry my hair so I can curl it. When I'm done curling it, I go to the closet without seeing if Kate is awake or not. I get dressed in a cute outfit that I think he'll like and then move onto my makeup back in the bathroom. 

I walk out of the bathroom and see Kate with a mug with coffee in it on her bed, she looks really tired, I wonder how late she stayed up last night. 

" Hey Kate, you ok? " I ask noticing that she kind of resembles a zombie at the moment. 

" Yeah i'm fine, just stayed up late last night...you going somewhere? " She asks raising her eyebrows.

" Yeah, Joe and I are going out. " I say smiling, there was no way i'm telling her what Joe and I are doing.

" Oh cool, have fun. " She says taking another sip from her cup, I nod and walk out of the room ready to leave with Joe. I walk down the stairs and to his room just walking in knowing the door isn't locked. When I'm in the room, he's on his laptop on the bed. He looks up at me and smiles. 

" You look great Demi. " He says closing the laptop and getting off the bed to come towards me, I smile and say " You too. " 

He smiles in reply and kisses my forehead, " I just booked a room for the day at a hotel in town, are you positive that you're ready? " 

" Yes, as long as you are. " I say confidently, underneath, i'm terrified. In a good way though.

" Yeah i'm ready. " he says smirking taking my hand, he then leads me to the door and turns off the lights in the room before we both walk out. I can feel his hand shaking as well letting me know that I'm not the only one who's nervous. We walk out the door to Kate's car and get in, Joe starts the car and gives me a grin before driving off.

When we get to the hotel, it's drizzling softly. We run in not wanting to get wet from the rain, we both take each others hand as we walk to the counter in the lobby. When there, we get the key from the worker and start to walk to the elevators. I can feel my heart pounding inside of my chest, the thought that it's going to be soon makes me have to catch my breath. By the way of how Joe looks as well, he's most likely experiencing the same feelings.

We walk off the elevator and down the hall to the door of our room, he looks at me and smiles one last time before opening the door. We both walk in slowly, I look at the bed and feel my heart skip a beat. Joe sets the keys on the small table in the corner and turns around slowly to look at me. 

We both stand in place staring at each other, neither one of us able to move. I can hear his deep breathing along with my own, he smiles and takes a few steps towards me. Before I can control myself, I walk to him and throw my hands around his neck and crash my lips against his.

I turn my head and look into his eyes, his smile is wide and cute. I pull the sheets up over my chest covering up feeling a little awkward. The clock on the nightstand read that it was already three o clock, we've been busy. The feelings I feel for him after this are exponential. It was amazing, but not because it was just having sex, but because it was my first time and with him. I love him so much and I never want us to separate. 

" I love you Joe. " I say knowing he knows, I just can't stop saying it. 

" I love you too Demi. " He says smiling and touching my hand, I scoot closer to him so i'm on top of him. I want to get a better view of his eyes, I kiss his lips and then lay my head on his chest feeling his body against mine. I can't wait for us to be married someday, so we can just do this whenever we want. Saying goodbye will be even harder now, I don't think it's going to be even possible.
