Demi's POV
I slow down from my run trying to catch my breath, I look behind me seeing Kate get a drink from her bag. We're the only ones on the outdoor track this morning since we both got up early, it's slightly overcast today so it's a little chilly. I zip up my jacket feeling a breeze hit my body, I look up at the sky sensing some rain coming soon.
Kate said she had a surprise activity for us to do today which leaves me a little suspicious, I have no idea what it could be. I'm a little scared to tell the truth. I start to run again once I have felt my breathing go somewhat normal again, it feels good to run today. The wind blowing against my face makes me feel refreshed.
When i'm done with my assigned laps, I walk back inside and go to Kate and I's room. I hop in the shower feeling the heat beat against my back and my hair sticking to the side of my face. After that, I get dry and dressed not seeing Kate in the room yet, I lay down on the bed and turn on the TV wondering whats on.
A half an hour later, Kate walks into the room without a word and straight to the bathroom. I hear the shower start so I continue to watch TV until she comes back out. When she does, she's dressed and ready for the day.
" What took you so long before? " I ask turning off the TV and sitting up, she sighs before she talks.
" When I was walking in, these two boys were almost going to kill each other in the lounge. I had to break it up. " She says looking like it wasn't the funnest thing to do.
" Who and why? " I ask curiously standing up from the bed as we walk out the room to Kate's office.
" Sterling and a boy you wouldn't know, they were fighting over some beer that had secretly been brought in. We immediately got rid of it. I'm just angry that someone was able to get it in, we don't know who yet." She says looking stressed, it does leave me curious on who brought it in. Well I shouldn't care, I'd probably not know who it is anyway.
We get to her office and go to her desk, I sit opposite of her waiting for instructions. Outside of the window, water begins to beat against it. The sound of it calms me down, i've always liked the rain.
" So what are we doing today?" I ask hoping its something i'll enjoy, i'm still curious on what her surprise activity is.
" Well, today we are working on confidence. I thought of an idea for you that might boost your confidence. You just have to commit first. " She says smiling, she still didn't tell me what i'm doing to boost this confidence.
" What will I do? " I ask a little scared on what it might be.
" Well since you sing-" She starts to say but I interrupt her quickly.
" I'm not performing in front of people here. " I say immediately, that's one of the last things I want to do here.
" It's not that, but it's something similar. Just let me talk first, since you sing I was thinking you could make a video of yourself. Then post it on YouTube. " She says with a deceiving smile and a thumbs up.
" I don't want to do that. " I say wishing this was never on the agenda today, I start shaking my head no hoping she sees that I really don't want to do that.
" Oh come on Demi, you're really great. You should show that talent off. " She says with a convincing tone.
" I'm just scared that people will hate it and post comments. I've had too much of that already in my life. " I say feeling memories of hateful words over the Internet.
" This is going to help you boost your confidence and help you learn that you really shouldn't give a shit about what other people think of you. " She says with serious eyes, I sigh and let myself think for a minute. She lets me think in silence which I'm thankful for.
