Chapter 30: We're Gonna Be Alright

Demi's POV

" So what do you want to do first? " I hear Joe ask me looking around the theme park with a grin, I shrug and see if anything catches my eye. 

" I have no idea, anything look fun to you? " I ask grabbing his hand, everybody seems to go off into groups separating. Joe and I together, Selena and Nick, Kevin and Dani, and Joe's parents with Frankie and Joe's aunt with her small family.

" How about that one? " He asks with a smile, I nod and he grabs my hand and starts to to lead me to the ride. It's one of those rides where you lay down and it will fly you, the one he's leading to me to is called "Superman". It looks pretty fun. 

I have to say that i'm a little scared since I haven't been on a roller coaster since I was young, hopefully I still like them. We wait in line and playfully mess with each other until it's our turn, there's not many people at the park today so we didn't have to wait long.

I get strapped in next to him and he immediately puts his arms out like he's superman making me laugh since we're not even moving yet. I do the same and he grins back, the ride then starts and over the speakers you can hear " It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Superman! " right as we're launched. 

The rest of the day, we ride different rides having fun together. When it comes to lunch time, our whole group gets together and grabs some food that they sell at the theme park. We all talk about what we did which is fun, Joe's mother takes lots of pictures of us together capturing memories as well. 

After we're done eating, we split up again, but this time Nick and Selena come with Joe and I. We ride some of the bigger rides together which just about scare the shit out of Selena and I making the boys laugh. We then try to settle things down by bumbper karts and some of those games that you waste your money on trying to get one of those stuff animals. Joe wins a medium sized prize which is a shark stuff animal, he gives it to me making me smile. 

We then get on a train that rides around the park and goes through a part of the park that has animals which is cool. 

" Having a fun day so far? " Joe asks me as he puts his arm around my shoulders, the train starts up and starts to ride.

" I haven't had this much fun in a long time. " I say leaning my head on his shoulder and putting my hand on his chest. I really have missed this, being with him. 

" Good. " He says kissing my forehead making me smile, his lips against my skin make me feel warm inside. A feeling that no other man could give me. 

" I love you. " I whisper to him which makes him grin, he looks over at me and says it back making the day feel worth it.

I dial Kate's number when we get back home which is pretty late so everyone is getting ready for bed. Joe gets dressed while the phone is ringing making me stare a little longer than I should, Kate soon picks up remembering what i'm supposed to being doing. 

" Hey Demi. " I hear her say making me smile, we promised we would keep in touch after I left so we wouldn't  grow apart. 

" Hey Kate, how are you? " I ask her hoping everything's alright over the center. 

" I'm great, how about you though? How is it being home? " She asks bringing another smile to my face. 

" It's great, i'm really happy right now. " I say glancing at Joe who smiles after I say that. 

" I'm so glad to hear that. You deserve it Demi, you worked hard. " She says in a proud motherly way.

" Thanks Kate, that means a lot to me. " I say missing her already, being with her that long really made us close. 

" You're welcome Demi. " She replies with her comforting voice.

" So Kate, you'll never guess what happened today while we we're in the car. " I say getting to the real reason why I wanted to talk to her. 

" What is it? " She asks curiously.

" Well while we were in the car, the radio guy started to talk about me and my video I made online. He said some great things about it and then played the audio over the station. My song was on the radio. " I say excited feeling so happy about it. Joe then comes and sits beside me on his bed taking my free hand. 

" That's great Demi, congrats. " She replies with enthusiasm, I smile as we start to talk more. Eventually she has to go and so do I because of Joe's wandering hands. I hang up the phone and put it on the night stand, Joe smiles and starts to kiss me making me chuckle.

" You are an impatient boy. " I say before kissing him back again, he laughs against my skin trailing down my neck. A life with him, is gonna be just fine with me. Okay, a lot more than just fine. It will be perfect. 

Sorry for such the late update, I haven't been able to get to my computer for a while. I've been busy working and now i'm finally on vacation, so now I can finally write again. I usually don't do author's notes in chapters, but I think it' time to announce that this story will only have one more update. Yes it will be the epilogue for this story. I'm sad that this story is ending, but I thought it was time. I will be premiering a new story soon that will be about Jemi, it will be called That Should Be Me. You can check out a little of it already, so go check it out if you haven't yet. I'm thinking about releasing the first chapter of it on August 1st, so make sure to check for it that day.
