Chapter 25: Anger & Movies

Nick's POV

Selena squeezes my hand as we walk down the stairs in my house, we just got done studying for finals. When we reach the bottom of the stairs, I hear Joe in the kitchen on the phone. We walk into the kitchen wanting a snack, Joe is sitting on the counter top with a concentrated expression on his face.

" What happened after that? " He asks into the phone looking worried, I wonder what's going on. After raiding through the fridge, I find nothing, so I go to the closet. Selena just sits against the counter watching me which makes me smile.

" He what? " Joe asks very loudly into the phone, Selena and I both look over at Joe who has a very angry expression on his face. I wonder what's going on and who he's talking to.

" And this is the same douchebag who kissed you in the library? " Joe asks another question looking steamed.

" He's lucky that i'm all the way across the country, I would kick his ass. " Joe says clenching onto the phone, my curiosity grows bigger. He probably doesn't even know that Selena and I are in the room.

" I can't wait for you to come back. " He says, I think he might be talking to Demi. Selena and I walk into the living room and sit down to watch some TV. I hope everything is alright with Demi, whatever Joe was talking about, it didn't sound good.

A few minutes later, Joe walks into the room and sits down on the lazy-boy chair. He still looks pretty upset.

" What was that all about Joe? " I ask him hoping everything is okay, he doesn't look happy at all.

" Well at the treatment center that Demi's at, some guy was sneaking in some alcohol and selling it. Demi found out who it was, it was the same guy who kissed her. So they got a hold of him and Demi was in the same room, he...tackled her and punched her in the face. He was arrested afterwards, I swear I would fly out all the way to Florida just to beat the shit out of him. " Joe tells us, that defiantly was not something I was expecting.

" Is Demi alright? " Selena asks looking worried.

" She said she was, she said she has a black eye from it though. " Joe replies still looking angry, I would be angry too if that happened to Selena.

Demi's POV

I set down the phone and start to walk back to Kate's office, Joe was pissed. I didn't know how he would react, I sure didn't think he would get that angry. I'm going to Kate's office right now to study for a finale test that I need to take and pass to graduate. I'm almost done with the testing, so that means i'll be able to graduate soon.

It's weird to think that I'm not graduating at the school that I went to for three and a half years, I wish I could at least see Joe graduate in two weeks. Hopefully his mom takes lots of pictures so I can see what it looked like.

I walk into Kate's office and get to work immediately, the faster I get this done, the faster I can get to hang out with Miley. Tonight is a movie night, so Miley and I are going to go watch it together. I try to work hard to concentrate on studying, but it's a little difficult because of my eye. It still hurts which sucks, why couldn't I have just stayed upstairs.

When I'm done going through the material, I walk down the hallway to my room to clean up before going to Miley's room. I change into something more comfortable, when I'm finished dressing, I hear a knock on our door. I walk over to it and open the door to find Bec on the other side.

" Demi, I'm glad you're here. I didn't have time to see you last night to apologize. " She says frantically, I let her in wanting to talk.

" Bec don't worry, it wasn't your fault. " I say telling her the truth, she just sighs before she talks.

" It is though Demi, I let you go tell Kate about Sterling and now you have a black eye. " She says looking sad and worried.

" Bec, you didn't know that Sterling would attack me. Trust me, it's okay. I don't think it's your fault. " I say hoping she'll believe me.

" Okay, how's your eye though? " She asks trying to be friendly.

" It's all good. The nurse said it would be back to normal in a week's time. " I say glad about that, I didn't want it to be there for a long time since it sure isn't something I enjoy on my face.

" That's good. " She says still looking guilty, hopefully she'll come around soon and see that it isn't her fault.

" Well what you up to right now? " I ask wondering maybe if she want's to hang with Miley and I.

" Nothing much, I was just going to go back to my room after this. How about you? " She asks me, I lean back against the wall.

" Well i'm going to Miley's room to grab her and then we're going to go watch the movie they're playing tonight, do you want to come with us? " I ask hoping she'll say yes, it will be nice to hang out with a few people.

" Are you sure you want me to hang with you guys? " She asks looking unsure.

" Of course, come on. " I say walking out the door, she follows me and we both walk towards Miley's room down the hall. When we get to her door, I knock on it a few times.  Miley comes out and smiles at the sight of the two of us. 

" Hey guys. " She says as we start back down the hall, we both smile and say hello back. 

" Do you even know what movie they're playing tonight? " I ask hoping it's actually something good this time. The last few movies have been, well kind of boring. 

" No idea, hopefully it isn't like that cheesy movie we watched last time. " Miley replies making me wish the same thing. 

" Totally, I swear they thought we we're like two or something by showing us that movie. " Bec says and we all chuckle. We then go down the elevator since the movie will be in the library, we then walk to the library seeing that it's more packed then it was last time. 

All of the tables that are usually in here are cleared out and are replaced with folding chairs lined up in rows. The movie will be projected on the big white board on the wall, the three of us go find seats in the back where Taylor, Tiffany and Ryan are sitting. 

The lights shut off and the movie starts, it looks like it might be the 'Back To The Future Movie'. I guess that's not terrible, still a bit cheesy but entertaining. For a while the movie plays and everyone is pretty intent on watching it, after a while though, everyone gets antsy in their seats. Some people leave, I look over at our gang and see Ryan's head on Miley's shoulder and his eyes closed. 

After the movie, we all get up and start heading back up the stairs to our rooms. I say goodbye to Miley and Bec and go in to Kate's and I's room. Kate is already in here, just in the bathroom. I get in my pj's and lay down in my bed. 

Kate then walks out of the bathroom and smiles when she see's me. She then asks crawling into bed as well " How was the movie? " 

" It was okay, you guys need to pick better movies though. " I say with a smile, she just chuckles and shakes her head. 

" Well I know that the movies are not that exciting, but that's the best we're allowed to show. " She says looking like she feels the same as me. I just nod and lay my head down on the pillow feeling tired, after a minute of silence, Kate speaks up.

" Hey Demi, make sure to wake up at seven tomorrow since we're going on a special hike. " Kate says making me a little curious, special hike?

" What do you mean by special hike? " I ask wondering what she meant by that.

" Well let's just say there's some news I want to give you, but I think it would be best if I gave it to you in a special way. " She says making me look over at her to show her my still confused face, she just chuckles.

" Okay that really clears things up, you should just tell me now. " I say really curious, what could be so special?

" Nope, you have to wait until tomorrow. " She says turning off the lights with a smile, she's probably enjoying this.

" Fine. " I say giving in, what could it be though?
