It's been a few days now since I heard from Scarlett after she left upset with me. I've given her space but now I just miss my best friend. So I left Liv's house and headed to Scarlett's to try and talk it out with her.

Once I get to her house I hurry to the door knocking three times then wait. About a minute passes and the door opens to show Colin. "Oh hi Colin. I was not expecting to see you here." I chuckle awkwardly as he just smiles back at me.

"Hey there Y/n, I was just heading out. Scarlett is in the kitchen. Come on in" He moves out if the way allowing me to walk inside the house.

"Thanks Colin" I smile nodding my head at him.

"No problem! I'll talk to you later I have to go to work" He waves before shutting the door behind him. Why does he have to be so nice? I think to myself then walk into the kitchen where Scarlett stands making coffee.

"Hey babe, I thought you had work?" She queries not turning around to look at me causing her to think I'm Colin.

"Uh... it's me actually." I chuckle awkwardly seeing her freeze in place. Then she slowly turns around to face me, her eyes now glossed over. "I wanted to talk to you.. I'm sorry for not talking to you beforehand about-" Before I could finish Scarlett jumps at me, wrapping her arms tightly around my body. "Scar?"

"I'm sorry for storming off Y/n! I was so embarrassed when I got home for making a scene that I just couldn't bring myself to text or call you." She squeezes me tighter burying her face in my chest.

"Whoa, hey it's ok. But if you squeeze me any tighter I might pop." I laugh as she immediately lets go of me and takes a step back. "I understand why you were upset. I'm dating the girl who has done bad things to you and I'm sorry that I caught feelings for her. But I swear she's not like that anymore Scar." I reach forward taking her hands in mine.

"That..." She starts but quickly bites her tongue and just smiles. She squeezes my hands slightly and sighs, "If you trust her... then I'll be cordial. But that doesn't mean I trust her got it?" She points her finger at me with a stern tone making me chuckle.

"I got it. So... are we ok? Can I have my best friend back again?" I ask, smiling innocently at her.

She rolls her eyes and brings me in for a hug. "Of course we're ok. I'm sorry for upsetting you.." She speaks softly hugging me tightly again. Then she pushes softly off of me and smiles. "Do you want to stay and have some coffee?"

"I'd love that. I still have about three hours till I go to work." I smiles as her face lights up and she turns to make some more coffee. "I was a little nervous you were still mad at me honestly"

"I.. I don't know how I feel right now about it. But I know I missed you." She sighs and grabs two cups while I lean up against her counter. "We don't have to talk about that right now though... I just want to hangout and have a good time"

"I..." I go to continue the conversation but quickly stop myself and just smile. "Sure we can do that." I stand next to her now as she pours the coffee into the two coffee mugs for us. She hands me my coffee then leads me into the living room where we sit and talk for about two hours. "Ok as much fun as I'm having with you, I have to go get ready for work." I say getting up from her couch.

"Ok, you have a good day at work too." She gets up and follows me off to the door. "I'll text you later, I promise" She laughs and opens her front door for me.

"I believe you." I chuckle and give her a big hug, "I'll talk to you later"

"See you later" She kisses my cheek before letting go of me and backs away smiling.

"Bye" I give her a small wave and quickly leave before she can notice my cheeks turning red. "Damn it" I take a deep breath hurrying to my car and getting in.

I drive home to my apartment, get changed and ready for work then drive off to start my shift. Once I'm there I see Talia already waiting for me. "She lives!" She says as I walk over to clock in.

"Of course I do. I just texted you yesterday" I roll my eyes putting my time card back and turning to her.

"Yea but I haven't seen you in days! You've been hanging out with your new girlfriend." She rolls her eyes, crossing her arms at her chest.

I do the same back to her and smirk a bit, "Haven't you been hanging out with your boyfriend everyday for the past week?"

"Hey that's different! He was out of town for his job." She glares at me as I laugh.

"Yea I know. Now I need to get to work" I turn to walk away from her but she grabs the back of my shirt stopping me. "Yes?"

"Did you talk to her?" She queries keeping my shirt bunched in her hand.

"Yes I did. We're fine now. Can you let go of me?" I ask looking back at her, her eyes still narrowed at me. "What's with the look?"

"Nothin. I'm just giving you shit. You can go start working now" She smiles widely as she lets go of my shirt.

"You're annoying" I scoff pulling my shirt down to try and fix it a bit. "I'll talk to you later. We can hangout soon I promise" I turn around starting to walk backwards.

"I'll hold you to that!" She laughs before walking off. I shake my head chuckling slightly then going off to start my shift.
