Chapter 14

(Little Time Skip)

It's been a little over two months since I started dating Liv, and it's been great. Though she has been acting kind of weird lately. But she's starting filming tomorrow and Scarlett has already started filming for a new movie. She has been... somewhat accepting of my relationship with Liv. But Scarlett refuses to see her or acknowledge her which I'm not mad at her about.

Now I'm on my way To Talia's house to hangout with her and her boyfriend who I've finally met a few weeks ago. When I pull up to her house I start getting a call from Scarlett. "Hey Scar, aren't you supposed to be filming?"

I hear her laugh from the other side of the phone before she answers. "Yes but we are taking a break so I decided to call you."

"Well don't I feel special now" I chuckle turning my car off and unbuckling my seatbelt.

"You definitely should. Are you in the car?" She queries.

"Yea. I just got to Talia's house." I smile starting to rummage through my bag in the passenger seat.

"Oh fun! I'll let you go so you can hangout but uh..." She pauses for a moment before I hear her take a deep breath. "I'm a little nervous. Colin says he wants to talk to me after our date tonight. I don't know if he's going to tell me he loves me or what's happening.."

I take a deep breath hearing the nervousness in her tone as she speaks. "Hey it's ok. If he does tell you he loves you... I wouldn't doubt he doesn't love you. You're an amazing woman, he'd be stupid is he didn't." I realize what I'm saying and bite my tongue.

She chuckles and lets out a small sigh into the phone. "Thanks Y/n. I love you"

"I love you too.." I smile down at my lap. 'You have no idea.' I think to myself but quickly shake the thought from my head. "I'll let you get back to filming. Don't be nervous, maybe it' not even about that."

"It's possible. I'll try to calm myself. Have fun with Talia! I'll see you later"

"I will. See you later, bye Scar." I sigh putting my phone in my pocket while grabbing my keys and bag. I get out of the car and head into Talia's house.

"There you are! I was wondering where you were at." Talia walks over to me giving me a hug as I walk in.

"Sorry, Scarlett called when I pulled up to the house." I chuckle nervously as she glares at me. She then drags me off into the living room where her boyfriend David is sitting. "Hey David"

"Sup" He smiles nodding in my direction as Talia makes me sit down in the chair. "Jeez you're so aggressive babe" He laughs as Talia sits down next to him and slaps his arm.

"It's fine I'm used to it." I shrug as she holds her hand up and flips me off making me laugh. "Always so aggressive"

"At least I'm not in love with my best friend." I narrow my eyes at her as she smirks mischievously at me from her seat.

"You asshole" I then hold my hand up and flip her off back before noticing David looking at us confused.

"Aren't you her best friend?" He looks over at Talia squinting his eyes at her.

"Other best friend babe" She pats his shoulder which I found a little funny.

He then turns his head to me still confused, "Don't you have a girlfriend?"

"Yes! And I like her very much for your information Talia!" I huff crossing my arms to my across my chest. "I'm moving on."

"I know I'm just teasing you. I'm sorry, I'll stop." She sighs and gets up walking over to me. She bends down hugging me awkwardly because of how I'm sitting.

"Ok ok get off of me!" I laugh pushing her away from me.

"I'll go get us some drinks." She smacks my arm then walks off to the kitchen.

I look over at David offended she just randomly slapped me, all he does is shrug which makes me laugh. "How are things with your girlfriend? Liv is her name right?"

"Liv yes. It's going good. I really am starting to like her a lot, it's been great having her around." I smile to myself thinking about Liv and our time together so far.

"Well I'm glad it does seem like you're feelings for her are getting stronger." Talia walks back in the room handing me a beer then taking a seat next to David again.

"They definitely are. It's her first day of filming tomorrow so I'm going to surprise her with a date after she gets home for the day." I smile as Talia awes now hugging on to David.

"That'll be so sweet Y/n! I'm sure she'll love that." She smiles opening her beer and taking a drink. After a bit we changed the subject and started talking about random things for awhile. I decided to eat dinner there with them as well before deciding to go home. "Wait wait Y/n" Talia follows me out to my car after we already had said our byes.

"What is it?" I look over at her curiously as she walks me to my car.

"I hope I didn't upset you with my whole she's in love with her best friend thing. I was just messing with you." She says quietly, which is new for her as she always talks loud unless she's that upset.

"It's fine Talia. Really. I... I just am really trying to get over Scarlett. I used to think if she only knew how I feel would that change anything?" I look down at the floor and shake my head, "But it wouldn't. And I'm accepting that. I really do like Liv.. a lot." Suddenly I feel her arms wrap around me in a big hug.

"I know you do. I'm sorry I know how it feels to love someone who doesn't love you back. You remember Lucas?" I groan at the thought of that asshat she used to crush on.

"I hated him." I roll my eyes as she lets go of me and laughs.

"I know, he was an asshole. But see I know how you feel!"

"At least Scar isn't an asshole." I give her a smug smile as she pushes me towards my car.

"Ok you can go now! Bye!"

I laugh walking to the other side of the car, unlocking it as I approach. " See you later Talia" I get in my car and wave bye to her as she take a few steps back from my car. She waves back before I start the car and drive off back to my apartment.

The next day after my shift at work I hurry off to buy some flowers to bring to Liv for our surprise date. She texted that she finished filming for the day about 20 minutes ago so she should be home by now. I rush to change out of my work clothes and head over to Liv's house. I try calling Scarlett who I saw called me about 15 minutes ago but got no response. So I sent her a text saying we could hangout and talk tomorrow if she wanted to. After that I arrived at Liv's house, when I pulled into her driveway I saw her car. "Great she's home!" I quickly get out of my car and am about to head inside when I see a familiar car parked outside her house. "Is that... Scarlett's car?.. No that can't be. She doesn't even know where she lives." I assure out loud to myself. So I walk up to the door and knock but there's no answer. I tried calling Liv but again I didn't get an answer. Then I try her front door and to my surprise it's unlocked. I walk in shutting the door behind me and am about to make my presence known when I hear her talking to someone in the other room. "Who is she talking to?"
