I get back to my apartment complex from my waitressing job exhausted and just wanting sleep. Liv has been texting me on and off today asking when I'd want to hang out. So on my day off in a few days I'm hanging out with her.

Once I get up to my apartment I see Scarlett standing in front of my door getting ready to knock on my door. "Scarlett?"

She looks over at me and smiles, "Oh hi Y/n! Are you just getting home from work?"

"Hi, yea I had to work a little overtime tonight. Would you like to come in?" I offer as I put my key in the hole of my door.

"If you don't mind. If you're tired I can always stop by tomorrow" She chuckles shyly as I open the door to my apartment.

"I am tired but I don't mind if you hang out for a little bit. Come on in" I smile motioning her to follow me into my apartment with me. She nods and quickly walks in after me, shutting the door behind her. "Is everything ok?"

"Yea! I was actually going to ask if you're ok. I'm sorry I left early last night.." She sighs as I walk into my kitchen to grab a water bottle.

"It's fine Scar, I told you that. I get it, your boyfriend needed you" I grab two bottles then hand her one of them smiling. "Don't worry. Let's go sit on the couch and talk" I grab her hand and lead her into the living room.

We sit down on my couch, still holding hands as I place my water on the coffee table. "What'd you do after I left?" She queries.

I chuckle nervously making her glare at me. "Would you believe me if I said I went straight to bed?"

"No I most certainly would not!" She huffs, "What did you do?" She asks me again, still glaring at me.

"Fine. I went out to the bar with Talia for a few hours..." I smile nervously, waiting to see her reaction.

She just sighs and rolls her eyes at me, "No wonder you're so tired."

"I'm fine. Oh I did see Liv there after Talia left." I reach forward grabbing my water while Scarlett just stares at me.

"Liv? Like the girl that hates my guts?" She furrows her brows while I take a drink of water.

"She doesn't hate your guts! She said that she got over all that" I assure her as I place my water back on the table.

"Yea right. I doubt that" She rolls her eyes again and leans back on the couch.

"Well I'll be able to talk to her more about it so" I say shrugging and looking over at her.

"What? What do you mean?" She asks, sitting up quickly.

"She wanted to hang out with me so I agreed. We are hanging out on my day off on Friday." I explain rubbing the back of my head.

"Be careful around her. I don't know if I trust her, especially after how she acted last year" She sighs leaning back again.

"I will be, you don't have to worry about me. I'm sure she's harmless" I reach over and grab her hand smiling. "Do you not want me to hangout with her?" I smirk a little making her glare at me.

"You can do whatever you like Y/n" She rolls her eyes taking her hand away from mine.

"Don't worry, you'll always be my best friend!" I hug onto her tightly, "With Talia being a close second of course" She laughs, leaning her head on my shoulder.

"Good. You'll always be my best friend too" She hums happily. I smile down at her softly and sigh. "So what did Colin need yesterday? Is everything ok?"

"Oh uh... just something." She says pulling back from the hug. "Everything's fine"

I furrow my eyebrows at her, tilting my head to the side confused. "Just something? It was nothing important was it. He didn't need anything" I sigh.

"He did need something! Just... probably could've waited I will admit" She laughs awkwardly scooting back a little bit on the couch.

I narrow my eyes at her, looking her up and down. I notice her cheeks turning red and her getting nervous. "Oh." I realize what she means and sigh. "I need a drink"

I stand up from the couch but she quickly grabs my wrist and pulls me back down onto the couch. "Hey! You don't need another drink! I think you've drank enough alcohol the last 24 hours" She glares at me with a very stern look on her face.

"You're no fun" I pout and stick my bottom lip out. She shakes her head letting foe of my wrist and sighs. "But fine I won't drink"

"Thank you." She scoots over to me again and leans her head on my shoulder again.

I sigh looking down at her, she has her eyes closed and is making happy little humming noises. I smile softly and look over at my phone that just buzzed from a notification.

Liv:
Goodnight Y/n! I'm looking forward to hanging out with you in a few days 😊

Y/n:
Goodnight. I'm looking forward to it too🙂 I'll see you in a few days

"Who are you texting?" Scarlett queries, bringing my attention back over to her.

"Just Liv saying goodnight is all" I smile clicking my phone off and setting it back down on the table. All she does is nod silently and Lean her head back on my shoulder. "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine. Just happy we are spending some more time together" She says in a quiet tone and puts her hand in mine.

"Yea.. I'm happy too" I sigh. After maybe an hour I start falling asleep on the couch so Scarlett excuses herself so I can sleep. She gives me a hug and a kiss on the cheek goodbye before leaving back to her home. Once she's down the hall I shut the door, locking it then get changed and into bed. I scroll through my social media when I get a goodnight text from Scarlett. I chuckle quietly and roll over, putting my phone down after answering her and quickly fall asleep.
