On her 9th birthday, her parents had bought her a rescue dog. Y/N decided to name the dog 'Seungmin' because of his clever nature. It was as if he understood everything little Y/N was saying. Seungmin was gentle to everyone, but he took a special liking towards Y/N. The Golden Retriever would protect her when she would need protecting, would comfort her when she would need comforting and would help her when she would need help. Y/N loved him with all her heart and would do everything for him.
Once Y/N turned 13, she became busy with her studies, but still promised to do everything for Seungmin. During this time period, she wasn't as playful as she was when she was in her pre-teen stage, but she still was responsible enough to keep Seungmin's needs satisfied. Seungmin and Y/N grew closer as they grew older, even though it meant that they wouldn't spend as much time together compared to before.
When Y/N was 15 and had returned to her house after her school, she was not met with a happy Golden Retriever, but was instead met with a deafening silence. "Seungmin?" she called out, looking around for her best friend. Her parents walked in from the other room and broke the news. "We sold him. He was too much work," her father said blalantly, while her mother was struggling to hold back her tears.
Y/N couldn't believe her father's words. They had sold Seungmin without even telling her beforehand. She didn't even get to say goodbye. "W-what?" Y/N said, tears pouring out of her eyes. She fell onto her knees and buried her head into her hands. Her mother ran towards her and embraced Y/N while caressing her hair. "It's alright," her mother said, trying to comfort her.
Y/N sobbed uncontrollably, "How was he too much work for you?! I was the one who fed him, cleaned him, played with him and walked him! The only thing you needed to do was pay for his food!" Y/N's father sighed, "I know, but still, he was too much work for you." Eventually Y/N passed out due to shock and ever since that day, anxiety and depression had come into her life and she had never been the same without Seungmin, her protector, saviour and comforter.
Y/N's breath got caught and she was struggling to breathe. Her past had come up once again. Y/N closed her eyes and clenched her fists, trying to control her breathing. Chan noticed this and ran up to her, taking out his spare bottle of antidepressants. Just then, Y/N fell down onto her knees. Minho ran up to Y/N, Jeongin following. "Oh my god," Hyunjin whispered, running up to Y/N and caressing her hair.
"Here, water," Changbin said, giving him the bottle of water Beomgyu had previously given them. Chan took the water from his hands and gave Y/N her two pills with water.
"What's happening to her?" Felix asked.
"Shush, let her calm down," Minho replied.
"Is she going to be alright?" Changbin worriedly asked.
"Yes, she's going to be fine in a few seconds," Jeongin answered.
Y/N's pupils that were once dilated, had changed back and her senses had come back. "Seungmin...?"
The Golden Retriever carefully placed the orange rabbit onto the floor and walked behind towards Y/N, placing his soft paws onto her thighs. The dog whined and brought his head and placed it on top of her head, comforting her.
"Seungmin, do you know her?" Felix asked, a certain curiosity sparking. The dog barked and walked behind the wall, hiding it's form from everyone. Came back, a tall man, with black hair and blonde bangs. His caring eyes never once leaving hers. Y/N gasped. "I should've known..." she whispered, looking down.
He walked towards Y/N and held her hands, bringing her up. "I missed you so much," Seungmin whispered, pulling Y/N into a comforting embrace. Y/N sniffled, trying to control her tears. "Why'd you leave me...?" she asked, burying her head into his chest.
"I didn't have a choice. I had to protect you," he whispered, stroking her back comfortingly. "But you didn't protect me. I'm like this because of you," she cried, her knees shaking.
"It was hard for me too. Whenever I would walk alone, I would be falling down, thinking about you and how I should've stayed. Every street I would walk through was my very own lonely street despite how many people were there. I tried so hard to forget about you, but I couldn't even when I was captured by those men," Seungmin cried back.
"You should've stayed Seungmin. You should've stayed for the sake of both of us," Y/N wailed, her grip tightening around Seungmin's waist. "I loved you so much that I couldn't bare the thought of you getting hurt by them, but now I realise how wrong my decision was," Seungmin whispered.
Y/N fell down on her knees once again with Seungmin falling down as well. "Please don't leave me again," she said, looking at Seungmin with her puffy eyes. Seungmin nodded, "Never again will I leave you, I promise."
As the two calmed down, the rest of the hybrids around them stared at them in shock. Felix, Hyunjin, Changbin and Minho were all slightly crying, remembering their past. "You guys okay now?" Chan asked, carefully lifting Y/N and Seungmin up. "Is he that Seungmin you told me about?" Jeongin asked, earning a nod from Y/N.
Minho sniffled, "Let's all go home." They all nodded and walked back to the car with Y/N and Seungmin were embracing each other tighlty, not letting each other go. They were all stopped by Hyunjin. "Don't we want to know who the rabbit is?" he asked, causing everyone to turn their head and look at the rabbit that was still left alone in the shed, not knowing if he should go with them or stay.
Y/N turned around, letting herself go from Seungmin's grip. Seungmin reluctantly let go and walked towards the rabbit with Y/N. "Jisung, you can turn, they won't hurt you," Seungmin whispered assuringly, with Felix nodding his head. The rabbit looked at Felix and Seungmin then ran behind the wall.
Out came a man with black hair and a small smile drawn on his face. "Hi, I'm Jisung," he shyly whispered coming closer to the pack.
"Hey, I'm Y/N."
"I'm Chan."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Jeongin."
"Minho."
"It's Changbin."
"Hi, I'm Hyunjin!"
The rabbit hybrid nodded and smiled towards all of them. Y/N looked at the 5 hybrids and they all smiled at each other. "What...?" Jisung asked curiously. "Nothing, you're just.... cute," Y/N replied, causing Jisung to blush.
Seungmin interlaced his fingers with Y/N's. "Let's go home now?" she asked everyone. They all nodded and they walked towards her car. She stopped in her tracks as she realised how many people needed to get into her car. "Guys..." she whispered, "my car can only fit 5 people."
"Uhm, okay, how about we stay here and you drop them off then come back here?" Minho said, causing Chan to slap his shoulder. "No, that's dumb. It takes 25 minutes one way," he said, causing Minho to groan.
"How about we run there?" Jeongin said. "Stupid idea, we're all really exhausted," Hyunjin said, making the rest agree with him.
"How about the smallest hybrids turn and then just sit on the others' laps?" Y/N asked.
"Smart idea, but who is going to turn?"
