The hybrids looked at one another, each and every one of them scared of what's to come. Y/N got up and walked towards Joowon, "Listen here, if you hurt them, I will-"
"You'll what? You'll cry? You'll run away?" Joowon spoke, his height towering over her. She gritted her teeth, annoyed at this man's nerve.
"No, I'll punch you. Since you've been following me around, I'm sure you know I'm a black belt in Karate and Tae Kwon Do," she said, glaring at the man. He rolled his eyes and snapped his fingers, causing his guards to come in through the door and grab her.
"Place her in the room and lock it. Make sure she doesn't get out," Joowon spoke and the guards did exactly that. The hybrids all rushed to help her, but were stopped by that device. They all fell onto the floor, clutching their ears to try and block out the noise.
"No! Stop it!" she yelled, trying to fight her way through the guards, but she was simply not strong enough to take down ten trained professionals.
"Please, please! I'll do anything," she yelled. Joowon didn't even look her way and walked towards the hybrids. The guards pushed her into the room and locked it. There was a guard at every corner of the room.
"It's soundproof and you can't see them, but they can see you," one of the guards spoke, hand cuffing her to the seat. She scoffed and looked down, her heart thundering against her chest. "I hope they're okay," she thought as she cried silent tears.
"So, let's start with you," Joowon said, pointing to a pained Jeongin on the floor.
"Tell me, how and why did you come to her?" Joowon asked Jeongin. Jeongin whimpered in pain and clutched his ears.
Joowon turned the device off, "My bad. Is that better?"
Jeongin nodded his head, sniffling and blinking his tears away. Chan ran up to Jeongin and embraced the youngest, caressing his hair to comfort him. "It's okay, you'll be fine. I'm here for you," Chan whispered. The rest of the hybrids also ran towards Jeongin's side and held him close.
"Don't hurt him. He can't take that much pain," Changbin spoke, looking at Joowon. Felix looked at Yeonjun for help, but Yeonjun just stood there with tears in his eyes. Yeonjun felt helpless, watching his friends... no... his ex-friends in pain.
"Go on. Tell me, I don't have time," Joowon said, bringing the device up to turn it on.
"No! Wait! I'll do it!" Jeongin said, not wanting his friends to experience the pain again.
"I met her at the cafe we work at and I came to her because she was my friend," Jeongin spoke, "yeah, she was my friend."
Joowon nodded, taking notes down. "Are you sure she was only your friend?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.
Jeongin gulped and looked down, "Yes, she is only my friend."
Joowon shook his head and took the device again, "See, that's where I think you're lying. If you lie one more time, they all get it."
Jeongin's eyes widened, "Fine! She's not just a friend to me! I love her, but I know she only views me as her friend. I'll never be anything more than that."
Joowon placed the device down, "That's much better." The older man took down notes in a file titled, "Yang Jeongin - Fox Hybrid." Joowon looked up and examined the rest of the hybrids that were all huddled up together.
"Who wants to go next?" Joowon asked. No one dared to put their hands up and they all looked down. Some were still staring at Yeonjun for help, even though they knew he couldn't do anything to save them.
