Y/N and the rest of the hybrids watched as the multiple police cars made their way to Yeonjun's house. She furrowed her brows and continued watching in confusion, while the rest of the hybrids followed her gaze. The group all stared at the police cars in silence, their mouths slightly open and their eyebrows furrowed as they were deep in thought, when Beomgyu interrupted her thoughts, "Shit, it's that smart son of a bitch Joowon. He found out somehow."

"Of fucking course," Y/N mumbled, walking towards the house, "it's always him."

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" Beomgyu growled, pulling her back.

"To help Yeonjun," she replied, trying to pull away from Beomgyu's grip.

"Are you crazy?! What if they are arresting or hurting Yeonjun. Imagine if they find out you and him are friends. What then?" Beomgyu spoke, his grip getting tighter.

"He's your fucking family," Y/N said, gritting her teeth, "how they fuck are you not helping him?"

"I know, but if any of us go there, there's a chance we all get hurt and Yeonjun..." Beomgyu sighed, letting go of her wrist, "I'll save him again, just not now. We can't risk all of us dying."

Meanwhile, Yeonjun stared at the cop in shock. How did they know? Yeonjun gulped, his throat tightening as he continued to grow nervous. "What do you mean...?" Yeonjun chuckled nervously, fidgeting with the collar of his shirt as he looked away from the policeman.

The cop rolled his eyes and walked into the house, looking around. "We got information from someone anonymous. They told us that you were planning to kill Choi Joowon and gave us a voice recording of you creating a plan. We stopped Mr. Choi from coming here, so he's safe," the cop explained, observing the house, "funny how the most successful people turn out to be cold-hearted sons of bitches."

Yeonjun pursed his lips, "You must have gotten it wrong. I would never kill my own fath-"

"Save it for the court," the cop spoke, turning Yeonjun around to handcuff him, "I would say the normal 'you have the right to remain silent' thing, but this isn't a damn movie and I'm not a fun cop."

Yeonjun's eyes widened as the handcuffs were placed onto his hands, "I wasn't going to kill-"

"Shut up or I'll make you shut up," the cop spoke, placing a hand on his holster as he walked Yeonjun out of the house and placed him into the backseat of the police car, "don't try anything, we have a lot of other policemen following this vehicle cause you're a dangerous man."

Yeonjun furrowed his brows as he huffed in annoyance, "Dangerous? No, you've got it all wrong, I would never-"

The steel mesh cage's window was closed, creating a barrier between the cop and Yeonjun. "Sit tight, we're going for a long ride."

A few metres away, Y/N watched as the cars disappeared from her line of sight, tears welling up in her eyes. Of course Joowon found out. He somehow always was the cause of her problems. Her parents' death? Him. Seungmin getting taken away when she was little? Him. Jisung almost dying? Him. Every single damn thing she had hated in her life, was all because of that bastard.

"Hey, hey," Chan whispered, cupping her face, "we'll save him."

Seungmin nodded in agreement, "We will, but we have to give it some time. We can't just walk right into that."

"Y/N..." Changbin whispered, holding her hand, "don't cry. I know it's all so stressful and it seems like we lost, but... just... remain strong... for me."

Huening Kai watched as she struggled to hold her tears in and walked over to her, Felix and Soobin following closely. Huening Kai placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, "Yeonjun will be fine. He's always fine. I should know, I'm part of his family."

Soobin nodded in agreement, "We'll save him soon enough just like how we saved you guys a few days ago."

"It's funny how everything always goes to shit just when we think we've won," Taehyun sighed, sitting down.

Hyunjin sat down next to Taehyun, "Right? Sometimes, it just feels like we're going to lose no matter what we do."

"Don't say that," Felix mumbled, glaring at the two, "just cause things have seemed bad the past few days doesn't mean that it's always going to be like this."

"See, I wouldn't normally agree with Felix and all, but yeah, he's right," Minho spoke, looking at everyone.

Jisung sighed and sat down, "I'm just so tired of things going to shit."

"Same, but we always get through this one way or another," Jeongin spoke, sitting next to Jisung, "that's how we work."

Y/N wiped the tears from her face as she sniffled, "I-"

She was interrupted by her phone ringing. She picked her phone up and looked at the caller I.D. 'Unknown Caller.'  She looked at the rest of the hybrids as she reluctantly picked up the phone, "Hello?"

"Ah, hello there Y/N. Did you like my little show?" a familiar voice chuckled from the other line.

She gritted her teeth, instantly knowing who the caller was. "He was your own fucking son! Do you even care about anyone, you dumb fucking dick?!" Y/N screamed into the phone, her fists clenching tightly in anger.

"I do care about someone. Myself," Joowon snickered as if he had made the funniest joke in the world, "Oh, and Yeonjun wasn't my son from the moment he sided with you and your little pets."

Y/N furrowed her brows and remained silent. How did he even find out?

As if he heard her thoughts, he laughed once again, "You really think I wouldn't also bug Yeonjun's phone? I could sense he was getting a little sloppy."

That was it. Y/N gritted her teeth as she imagined all the things she would do when she found him. "Shut the fuck up, you dumb fucking dickbag. I swear to God, when I find you, I'll make sure your life will be reduced to a series of unending, agonising tortu-" Y/N started, but was interrupted by Joowon.

"No, now you listen to me you little slut. Your precious hybrids are next," Joowon spoke, hanging up the call.

Y/N groaned in frustration as she sat down on the grass and buried her head into her palms. She didn't know what to do. Joowon would always be two steps ahead of her, no matter what she would do. She knew she had to stay strong and think of some sort of plan to get Yeonjun back, but now, all hope that was once in her started to slowly seep out of her body, as she looked at the hybrids with glossy eyes.

"I don't know what to do anymore. We lost."
