I Miss You

"Lan Zhan! Lan Zhan! Come on, let's have lunch. My treat."

Lan Wangji turned to the side and saw Wei Wuxian peeking through the window, waving his hand. The bell already rang and the students were ready to leave when he heard his name was called.

"Sean! How could you betray me? Why are you inviting Mr. Wangji to lunch and not your bestfriend, huh?" 

Huaisang complained as he stomped his feet in annoyance. Wuxian immediately ran inside the room and wrapped his arms around Huiasang, giving him a light peck on the cheek.

"Bro, how can I invite you and pay for you? You know damn well that you're richer than me, and besides, I need to thank Lan Wangji for saving me yesterday."

Wei Wuxian looked at Wangji and winked at him. Wangji swallowed hard but he cannot take his eyes off Wuxian's hand circling Huaisang's waist. He immediately grabbed Wuxian's arms and coldly said,

"Let's go, Wei Ying."

Wuxian was not able to say anything as he was dragged outside the classroom. When they reached the hallway, Wangji is still holding his hand, leading him towards the cafeteria.

"Whoah, Wangji. Cool down. No one's gonna take me away from you."

Wuxian commented as he saw how rough he was in handling him. When Wangji realized what he just did, he slowly let go of Wuxian's hand.

"I'm sorry."

He said, guilty of what he had done. He just can't bear seeing Wuxian being like that with someone else. He doesn't want to admit it, but he's being too selfish when it comes to Wuxian. 

You don't own him, Wangji. He doesn't even remember you. You should always remember that.

Wuxian felt the change in atmosphere when he heard Wangji said those words, so he gave him a wide smile.

"Don't worry, I'm not mad. I was just surprised at what happened, but don't worry. I think you're just hungry and you're excited for my treat, am I right?"

Lan Wangji did not respond but he sighed deeply.

"Just wait here, I'll grab our food." Wuxian said as he walked away and let Lan Wangji sit in a vacant chair.

"Is that Wangji over there? Hey ya! We're here."

Xue Yang shouted from across the cafeteria and waved his hand towards him. The group went to the table where Wangji is sitting and they sat there confused why he was alone when they are used to eat together. 

"Brother."

Wangji uttered as he glanced at his brother. Lan Xichen looked around and faced his brother.

"We're looking for you, but I did not saw you in your classroom.  But, I believe you're not alone. Am I right?"

Lan Wangji shook his head and before he can reply, Wei Wuxian arrived with the metal tray filled with food that his sister prepared for them.  

"Hello, I did not know that you brought your friends with you. It's okay, I think we can just share this food to everyone."

He said as he asked Wangji to give him a little space and sat beside him. Meng Yao and Xue Yang looked surprised but Lan Xichen just smiled and looked at his little brother with a playful smile.

"Looks like my little brother found a new friend. I'm so happy for you.''

Lan Wangji urned to Wuxian and introduced his friends who were still dazed.

"Wei Ying, this is my big brother, Lan Xichen, and these two are his friends, Xue Yang and Meng Yao. They are all in their 12th grade. And this is Wei Wuxian, a transferee in our Uni, and my friend."
