School days is back, so Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian went back to their original routines. Since they are not classmates, all Wangji did was wait for Wuxian to show up anytime. He regrets that he did not ask Wuxian how he should communicate to him.

"Wangji, are you okay, bro?"

Xue Yang asked as he noticed that Wangji is not touching his food. The three of them are in the cafeteria with his brother Lan Xichen.

Lan Xichen also noticed that Wangji was being quiet the whole time, and he did not dare ask his brother what's wrong. Maybe he felt guilty of how he acted the last time he saw Wuxian and him together at the forbidden riverbank.

"Please excuse me brother, Xue Yang. I'm full. I need to go somewhere."

Lan Wangji, feeling a subtle urge, excuses himself from the table with Xue Yang and Lan Xichen. His mind set on finding Wei Wuxian, he heads to his homeroom.

Wei Wuxian's homeroom appears empty as Lan Wangji arrives. Breaking his usual silence, he approaches a classmate, a quiet determination in his eyes.

"Sean did not attend his classes," the girl informs, surprised by Lan Wangji's unexpected inquiry.

"Where is he?"
He asked again, trying to get a solid answer.

"I think I saw him going to the library," the other guy speaks up, uncertainty in his tone. "I'm just not sure if he's still there."

Lan Wangji, without a word, bows respectfully and leaves the room. Wei Wuxian's classmates exchange puzzled glances, wondering why the esteemed Lan Wangji would seek out the transferee.

In the library's quiet ambiance, Lan Wangji finds Wei Wuxian immersed in a book. His eyes lit up upon seeing him, but he remembered that Wuxian did not attend his classes, so he took back his smile.

"Wei Ying, you did not attend your classes," he states.

"Ah, the great Lan Wangji worried about my attendance. What an honor! Did you miss me that much?"
Wuxian exclaimed, closing the book he was reading.

Ignoring the teasing, Lan Wangji inquired, "Why were you not in class?"

"Oh, you know, the usual. Library's too tempting, and classes are... not as exciting," Wei Wuxian chuckled.

Lan Wangji's stern expression softened slightly. "Wei Ying, it's important to attend classes."

Wei Wuxian leaned back, observing Lan Wangji with a sly grin. "Lan Zhan, are you worried about me?"

Lan Wangji hesitated, then admitted, "I merely wanted to ensure you were well."

Wei Wuxian's teasing expression softened. "Well, aren't you sweet, Lan Zhan? Don't worry, I'm fine. Just trying to survive the boredom of lectures."

Lan Wangji nodded, seemingly satisfied. "Attend your classes, Wei Ying. It's necessary."

Wei Wuxian winked, "Yes, sir, Professor Lan. I'll be a diligent student just for you."

Lan Wangji's cheeks warmed up, wanting to kiss that tempting guy in front of him, but he shook his head and turned away.

As Lan Wangji turned to leave, Wei Wuxian called out, "Wait, Lan Zhan! You didn't tell me why you were looking for me."

Lan Wangji paused, looking back. "I wanted to let you know that Mr. Shen asked me about your progress in learning instruments, and, he also told me to tell you that you will be performing at the opening of the Winter camp as your recital. That's why I came here to see you."

Wei Wuxian snorted, "I thought he already forgot about that."

"Would you like to practice with me?"
He asked Wuxian and sat next to him.
