"We're here!"

Wei Wuxian uttered as they arrived their destination. Lan Wangji looked at the two-story dwelling constructed from brick and concrete. It has a red roof with a visible balcony from the outside.

"This is our home. Let's come in."

Wuxian said as he knocked on the door. It seems like there was someone inside as the door opened after three knocks.

"Sean! You're here! I thought you'll never come!"

An old woman appeared behind  the closed door, and she greeted them with a smile.

"Grandma Lulu, I missed you so much!"

Wuxian also greeted the old woman and hugged her.

"You little Sean, why did you arrive late? Your brother and sister are not here anymore. I thought you're coming together."

"That's okay, Grands. I have my companion here. He's Lan Wangji. He's my friend in my new school."

Grandma Lulu take a good look at Lan Wangji from head to toe, and she smiled brightly.

"You have a good eye, dear Sean. You are such a handsome kid."

"HAHAHA, I know right, Grands?"

Lan Wangji bowed in respect and replied,

"Hello Grandma Lulu. Nice to meet you."

"Oh! Even your voice is as handsome. Come on in. It's freezing outside, I'll get you some hot chocolate."

Wuxian nodded and led Wangji inside their house.

"Let's go, Lan Zhan."

As they went inside, Lan Wangji cannot help himself but be amazed at the tranquility of the place. The interior of the house was cozy, with a crackling fire casting a comforting glow over the room. The scent of herbs and spices filled the air, promising a hearty meal to warm their bellies.

"Grands, we'll visit Uncle Jiang and Aunt Yu first!"

Wuxian shouted just loud enough to reach the kitchen where Grandma Lulu was.

"Alright, dear. I'll just set this up for you and call you when it's ready."

Lan Wangji just listen to them exchanging conversations until Wuxian led him to a room.

"This is the sacred heirloom room of the family Jiang. This is where we lay to rest our loved ones who already departed from us."

Wuxian said as they stepped inside the room. The walls are painted in soothing hues of cream and pale blue, adorned with tasteful artwork depicting scenes of nature and tranquility. Tall bookshelves line one side of the room, filled with volumes of cherished memories and stories of lives well-lived.

In the center of the room stands a sturdy wooden table, with two fine porcelain vessel, adorned with intricate patterns and symbols that speak to the essence of the individual it holds.

"Lan Zhan, this is my Uncle Jiang and Aunt Yu. Uncle Jiang, Aunt Yu, this is my friend, Lan Wangji."

The two of them light the incense stick and gently place them into the incense holder.

They kneeled before them and bowed three times in respect for the souls of Wuxian's Uncle and Aunt.

"Uncle,"

Wuxian spoke after a while.

"I know that you are still worrying about me, thinking that I might not get a good future or I might be a good-for-nothing adult. But rest assured that I won't make you worry again. I have a good friend now, and I know that you'll approve of him once you get to know him." He paused then looked at his Aunt's urn.
