today is the day we fly down to lake Tahoe. I spent the night at alyssa's house so her parents don't need to make an unecessary trip to pick me up. alyssa set her alarm for 5am because our flight is at 9am. we definitely won't be late. her arms are wrapped around my waist as she snores softly. she's the type of person to set an alarm super early and be the only person who it doesn't wake up. I lay a kiss on her lips as I get out of her grip and walk off towards the bathroom. i'm going to tell alyssa I love her this weekend. I know we've only been together for a few months, but I knew from the first day I seen her that I was in love. I can confirm i'm not just in love, I actually love her. my first love. she's so different from other females I've dealt with, she's amazing.

as I brush my teeth she comes to stand in the doorway rubbing her eyes. she lets out a loud yawn and steps in front of me reaching for her toothbrush. I look down at her through the mirror, watching her every sleepy move.

"good morning to you too." I roll my eyes. she giggles looking up tilting her head to the side rolling her eyes along with mine.

"good morning jaxon wright. are you excited?" she picks up the toothpaste squeezing a nice amount on her toothbrush. I nod my head in response sitting my toothbrush back down and going into her closet. I have my own little corner in her closet, it comes in handy whenever I spend the night.

her bedroom door swings open, her step father and her two little brothers stand in the doorway with their hands on their hips, making me chuckle, "good morning guys."

her father nods his head, her two brothers aaron and Andrew climb onto her bed rubbing the sleep from their eyes. I look back to her dad, "luis where do you want to stop for breakfast?"

he shrugs his shoulders, "I came to ask you motherfuckers."

alyssa steps out the bathroom giving her dad the side eye, "dad-"

"sorry mija." he cuts her off with a laugh.

now that the whole house is awake, there's lots of movement, all of us rushing to get last minute things ready. luis and I pack everyone's suitcases into the truck. the fact that luis and I are the only ones ready is crazy when the women are the ones always prepared. as we sit and chat in the truck, jasmine and her family including Cameron and kb pull up. kb comes up to my window and sticks his head inside, "morning fam."

"what's good," I dap him up before looking out the window. jasmine and Cameron are leaning on the car together all hugged up.

"aye papa, can I park my car in your garage?" kb asks luis, who nods his head swiftly. kb gives him a thumbs up and runs back to his car, pulling up beside us and parking in the garage. jasmines parents give us a wave, but it's crazy jasmine hasn't spoken to me. she was worried about Cameron and I having beef on this trip but I have beef with no one. Cameron can't have beef with me because we don't know each other enough for him to even have my phone number. if there's beef it's completely one sided.

after a few minutes, alyssa comes out along with her mother and brothers. she runs up to the car and gives me a kiss on the lips before going over to say hi to jasmine. I watch them hug each other and talk for a few before she gives jasmine's parents a good morning hug and comes back over to the truck. now that it's time to leave I let her mom sit in the front and I get into the far back with alyssa. her brothers sitting in the middle row with their ipads.

the ride to the airport is about a half hour drive, we were going to stop for breakfast along the way, maybe at a ihop, but we all voted against it. once at the airport luis is acting like the typical father at the airport. he's making sure everyone has their carry-on's and have left nothing behind. it takes a moment to find our gate but once we make it here, we still have about 30 minutes before the boarding process begins. alyssa sits next to me with her arm tucked into mine, "can you come with me to starbucks?"

"of course baby, cmon." I stand, grabbing a hold of her hand. her brothers look up from their ipads with wide eyes. "do you two want to come?"

they nod both laying their ipads in their moms lap making alyssa and I chuckle. jasmine stands up overhearing our conversation and follows after us. kb is too engulfed in talking with luis about cars. it's a good thing alyssa remembers his drink order. jasmine still hasn't ackwoledged me, but it's fine. if she wants to play that way, she can.

since dating alyssa she's broaden my view of coffee flavors and I now get a shaken espresso with half the pumps of classic and light 2% milk. it has a strong coffee flavor, that's the only reason I get it. sometimes i'll get it with sweet cream or oatmilk instead.

"what does kb get baby?"

"you should know his order by now, you get it for him every other day;" she scoffs, "it's a mocha cookie crumble. no whip on topo because he thinks the whip is too girly."

his drink always makes me laugh because what is his thought process with whip cream being girly.

as alyssa is at the counter ordering our drinks I sit at the table with Andrew and jasmine comes up and sits next to Andrew. I look up and then back down to my phone.

"hey jax." she murmurs, sitting her phone down flat on the table.

"whats good." I reply to her, keeping my face buried in my phone.

she chuckles, "for someone who claims they don't use their phone a lot, you sure use your phone a lot!"

"because i'd rather not talk to you."

Andrew's eyes widen as jasmine lets out a scoff, "okay, continue to be rude. alyssa doesn't tolerate any of her boy toys to be rude. especially to me."

funny that she thinks i'm just a boy toy.

"she'll get rid of you like that," she snaps her fingers while standing up and walking away. I look over to Andrew with a grin, "is she like this every morning?"

he nods rolling his eyes. her actions are weird, because just a few days ago we were joking around. I don't know why she thinks alyssa is going to break up with me because I said something she didn't like. I was honest. maybe she's worried about losing her best friend. if that is the case, she's being selfish. alyssa deserves to be happy.

alyssa comes over with our drinks and I quickly grab the cup holder from her, she shouldn't have to carry anything. we walk back to the gate, alyssa voicing how excited she is to see her grandfather and grandmother. her excitement makes me so happy, I love seeing her happy.

we still have some time to spare before boarding, so alyssa and I share my airpods and continue to watch our show. we're currently watching arrow and we're only on episode 8 of season one. so far, its good.

"yo, you made jasmine cry for what?!" Cameron walks up to us.

"woah, no need to be so sassy cam." alyssa abruptly pauses our show.
