He wasn't supposed to stay. She wasn't supposed to fall.
Alyssa had rules about love, boundaries shaped by disappointment and too many almosts. She promised herself she'd never take a man seriously again.
Then Jaxon changed everything.

Dinner was great, after we ate jax rode around downtown letting me see the lights. He even rode by the bay letting me see the water. Seattle is known for their nightlife so it was a lot of people out. There's also a new club that just opened, the line was wrapped all the way around the block. The bill at the restaurant was almost 100$, and jaxon tipped the same amount.
I made sure to thank him a lot because I've never had this treatment before, and it feels weird letting someone spend this kind of money on me. Now we're back at my house watching movies. Once the SpongeBob movie comes to an end I sit up letting out a yawn, "are you going to spend the night?"
Jaxon sits his phone down and looks at me, a small grin spreading across his face, "you want me too darling?"
I smile nodding my head, "mhm...you have clothes here from the last time. We can get Starbucks before school in the morning."
He chuckles standing up and following me into my bathroom. I begin to brush my teeth as he begins to undress himself. I quickly turn away not wanting him to think anything. He chuckles turning the shower on, "you don't have to hide Alyssa."
I rinse my mouth out and I look toward him, "I know, I'm just...still new to this all."
He kisses my lips before reaching for his body rag. Once he gets in the shower I sit on the toilet pulling my phone out, "I have a question..."
"Shoot."
"Have you and Jasmine had sex?" I question him. Not that it matters, but for some reason I just need to know.
He stays silent for a moment, "no, why do you ask?"
"I dunno, I feel kind of guilty because you guys were talking." I shrug.
He laughs lightly, "no need to worry, she had sex with Cameron a dozen times during our talking stage. Besides, it was never really a relationship. We only went to prom together and on a few dates."
I hum in response to his answer. Im not jealous of Jasmine, but I can never have something first you know? I know this isn't jaxon's thinking, but it's like, he couldn't have the hot friend so he downgraded to the less hot one.
Deep down, I know that isn't true. Jaxon isn't like that, we've been friends for months and he's never acted that way. He respects women. I go silent, just scrolling through Instagram. Somehow I end up on his page, he has a gym highlight, a friends highlight and a sports highlight. He keeps up with all the sports.
I click on his "besties" highlight, multiple pictures of him and Kb hanging out. There's one of him and Kb dressed as baseball players, I think for a Halloween costume. Because kb plays baseball, but jax doesn't play any sports. I'm assuming jax borrowed one of kb's uniforms. Then there's one of jax and Kb in similar clothes, they look so cute and aesthetic.
