"Now...do you wanna play with Coco and waves or do you wanna eat something?" I asked still holding her in my arms.
She looked at her watch and then back at me, "Do you need to be somewhere?" I shook my head. "Then waves and Coco." she smiled at me.
"Waves it is then." I bent to Coco's level and scratched under his ear, "You wanna play Coco?" He pulled out his tongue and smiled in agreement. "Go then." I gave him a slight push towards the wave and he went running there with Ira on his heels.
We played for God knows how long. We didn't have a frisbee or a ball so we freed Coco from the leash and passed a piece of driftwood to each other for Coco to catch. At first, he wouldn't go near the waves, but after Ira picked him up and played with the waves together, he was all set.
She watched the waves, collected conch shells, walked along the coastline, smelled the flowers and pet Coco. I too did all of these things alongside her, but my view wasn't the sea. My view was prettier.
It was 1 p.m. when I asked her for lunch again. This time she was okay and feeling hungry.
"There is this place nearby. Waha chale?" I asked packing the bag. I had tied the balloon to it already, and after placing everything else, I placed the bouquet in it too, with the flowers out. When she nodded I held Coco's leash in one hand and her hand in another, and carried the backpack as we moved out wear Laila was waiting.
"Aapki Laila pe koi aur baitha hua hai." She pointed towards where Laila was parked'. A group of five boys sat there smoking, something which from the looks on their faces looked like, weed. They all looked like they were in their late teens or early twenties. Studded belts, spiked chokers, and wristbands. You know those teens who act like they're too cool for everything and have that punk attitude but in reality are the actual losers? Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. They want all good amenities but don't wanna work hard. So they resort to mugging because they think, no one can overpower them.
(Someone is sitting on your bike.)"Just stay close, Blossom." We walked closer and I tugged her closer to me as I saw the boys straightening themselves.
"So this is your bike huh?" The boy sitting on my bike spoke first, passing the cigarette to his friend.
"Uh-huh, you liked it?" I passed Coco's leash to Ira and cracked my knuckles.
"I did. Was waiting for the keys." He too cracked his knuckles and so did his friends.
Copy cat.
I took out the keys and dangled it in my hands before them. "You want these?" One of them leaped forward to take it from me but I grabbed it back in my fist. Seriously? "You gotta work for them."
Well, good for me, I can totally use it to score some brownie points with the wife."A person with balloons tied to the bag and flowers peeping out of it, wants to fight us?" They all laughed and I just smirked.
"Last chance kid. Take your friends and leave. Get yourselves some ice cream. My treat." I smirked again.
"Tony?" He called out and a guy wearing a purple hoodie stepped up "Show this man, what we can do."
I stretched my hands forward and waited for this Tony to do something. He made a fist and threw it in my direction. But, to my disappointment, the fist didn't even reach my nose. Are you kidding me?
Was he, not even a teenager? Because I am sure, Aariv threw a better punch than him.
"Seriously?" I showed my disappointment, and Blossom giggled behind me.
