"You had your first ever kiss yesterday and you are telling me now?" Vaani screeches.

"Will you keep your voice low?" I look around at the paerking lot. Even though the dors and windows of the car are locked close, anyone could hear us. "And I am telling you now!"

"After twenty-four hours you bitch." She stuffs her mouth with a big bite of her and angrily munches on it. "We are best friends. We are supposed to tell each other everything!" Her voice comes out muffled my the big bite of burrrito.

"So what did you want? Should I have called you while my husband had his tongue shoved down my throat?" Eww.

"I mean, I don't see a problem there." She shrugs.

"What?" This time it's me screeching. "No. Eww. Why?"

"Hey! I told you my first kiss without leaving any details. Had the internet been that easily available then as it s now, I'd have called you. Now, given that you didn't call me when you were kissing, you need to give me all the details." She shrugs again. It's confirme, I have maniac best friend.

"I am not giving you ANY details." As a surgeon I've seen some pretty gross stuff, but the image of my bestfriend fornicating her then boyfriend haunts me till date.

"Not fair!" She takes another big bite of her burrito and turns away from me in her driver's seat.

"Baby...trust me. I have lived with a picture of my best friend and that guy kissing each other's mouth off is not something to be treasured. I still get nightmares about it sometimes." I visibly shudder as the image returns to my mind.

"Really?" She doesn't turn towards me but looks at me from the corner of her eyes, while her lips pout.

"Yeah."

"Okay. I'm sorry I guess." She turns in her seat to look at me. "But you should have told me last night when we met."

"I know. I'm sorry." I hold my ears. "It's just that we were never alone yesterday and I didn't reaally wanna grab more attention than already was on me. Besides, I have just twenty minuetes more until I have to go back again." I had a forty minute lunch, and Vaani was covering a news around the corner. So like good best friends we decided to eat lunch together. She brought us both burritos and nachos.

"Yeah okay. Just one more question." An evil smile marrs her face and I already know what she's gonna ask yet I ask her to go ahead. "Was he good? Because with the body of Adonis if he isn't good, I'm gonna be very disappointed."

Told ya.

"He was good." I murmur.

"Good like panties melting good? Or good like..." Vaani raises an eyebrow suggestively, leaning in as if her anticipation could somehow drag more details out of me.

"Good like he knew what he was doing," I admit, feeling a flush creep up my cheeks. "Confident, but not overbearing."

"Ugh, you're killing me with the vagueness!" Vaani sighs dramatically, taking another huge bite of her burrito. "But fine, I'll take it. Just know that I'm living vicariously through you right now, so next time, I expect more details. You're my married best friend now, which means your sex life is my business."

"You're incorrigible," I laugh, shaking my head. "But seriously, it was... unexpected but nice. We're still figuring things out."

"Well, make sure to enjoy the ride," she winks. "Speaking of which, what's the plan for tonight? Anything special?"

Before I can answer, my phone buzzes with a message. It's Ahaan.

Ahaan: "Picking you up from the hospital at 6. We need to talk."
