If I don't get some real booze, I'll slump on the ground with all the embarassment. I hadn't looked into his eyes the entire day, but then I had to dance with him and now he wants to talk more.

What the fuck do I do now?

I suck at this. I can't go a second without blushing infront of him, how am I supposed to talk serious to him?

"Let's move this upstairs, on the roof, shall we?" Karan speaks up.

We all nod and get up when suddenly all the lights go off and the soft melodious music turns to a familiar feminine voice. "So you all just straight up forget about me?"

All but one light focus on a petite feminine figure that has her back turned to us, but I know who she is. She's wearing a navy blue multistrap bralette that rounds her belly and a similar palazzo pants that have a sheer overlapping skirt. Her short hair cascade till her shoulder in signature curls.

Reet turns her face to us and the spotlight focuses on just her. "Surprise!"

The crowd erupts into cheers, and the music transitions into the upbeat rhythm of "Jhallah Wallah" from Ishaqzaade. Reet starts to dance, her movements fluid and captivating. The energy she brings to the room is infectious. She twirls and sways with a confident grace, her steps perfectly synchronized with the music.

Her expressions are playful and full of life as she performs, drawing everyone into her orbit. The guests clap along, some joining in with their own impromptu dance moves. Reet's presence lights up the entire event, making it impossible not to be swept up in the moment.

As she dances, I can't help but be mesmerized by her. Reet's always had this magnetic charm that makes everything around her more vibrant. She moves through the crowd, interacting with everyone, including Ahaan and me. When she reaches us, she pulls me and Bhabhi into the dance, making me forget all about my earlier anxiety.

Ahaan watches with a mixture of amusement and admiration, his eyes never leaving us. There are another set of eyes trained on us too, Veer's. But when I carefully track his line of sight, they aren't trained on me, they are on Reet.

Interesting.

The music pulses, and Reet's laughter rings out, filling the space with joy. She spins me around, and for a moment, everything else fades away. It's just us, the music, and the exhilaration of the dance.

As the song comes to an end, Reet strikes a final pose, and the crowd bursts into applause. Breathless and smiling, we makes our way back to the group while Reet stops to meet the other family members, her eyes twinkling with excitement.

"How's that for an entrance?" she asks, grinning from ear to ear when she finally reaches us.

"Perfect as always, Reet," I reply, hugging her tightly.

Ahaan steps forward, his expression softening. "Welcome back, little sister. You definitely know how to make an impression."

Reet winks at him. "Just following in my big brother's footsteps." She glances around, her eyes settling on Veer, who is standing nearby, watching the scene unfold with an unreadable expression.

As the night continues, the energy from Reet's performance lingers in the air. We all move to the roof as planned, but now the mood is lighter, more relaxed. The conversations flow easily, laughter and camaraderie replacing any earlier tension. As the night continues, the energy from Reet's performance lingers in the air.
