The dinner didn't go halfway bad as Yeosang expected it to.
It went by Choi parents asking him questions and him answering them with San sometimes adding up and joining the conversation.
The only one who didn't even look up from his plate was Jongho. The guy kept quiet and just ate food, not even looking or saying a thing.
It was obvious he was annoyed because Yeosang stayed for dinner, and it was obvious he didn't want him to be there at all. The guy didn't even bother to clean up his plate! How annoying and uneducated is that?
But did it bother Yeosang? No, apart from the plate. He didn't really care about Jongho. Why would he?
"Mom, the dinner was amazing! I really appreciate that you invited me to stay over, but i really need to go back. It's getting very late." Yeosang explained.
The sadness on their mom's face was seen, and Yeosang really didn't like it. But he really didn't have a choice.
He even cleaned the dishes because he felt bad and annoyed because that asshole just continued to play games while San and their dad talked to him, and didn't even bother to get up.
"It's okay. Thank you for staying over!" She exclaimed as she hugged him again.
Yeosang smiled, hugging the women and tapping her back. It felt like she was his real mom.
"Please, let San take you back. It's late and not safe to walk." Choi dad was the one who said that.
San hummed. "Of course! Let me get-"
"It's okay, I can take him home." Jongho's voice replied.
Yeosang immediately widened his eyes at that. He snapped his head to look at Jongho, not really believing what he just heard.
"Uh- Thank you, but I can walk-"
"No, no." Jongho cut him off. "It's okay, I'll take you home."
That smirk was back on his face and Yeosang really wanted to throw a plate at him.
"Okay then." Their mom said.
"Jongho, take Yeosang home. And San, you help me with the dishes and cleaning up."
The male groaned quietly, not really happy about that as Jongho went to grab the keys.
Yeosang thought about it again. Was he really agreeing to this? Or why did he even agree this fast?
Jongho smirked. "Come on."
Yeosang shot him a glare, getting his bag and saying one last goodbye to his parents and San.
He soon found himself sitting in a passenger seat with Jongho in the drivers one, silently looking down to his lap and not even saying anything or looking up to Jongho.
The male started the engine, also staying silent for a few moments.
"Where am I dropping you off?" Jongho asked with a long and deep sigh.
Yeosang shifted. He knew he was going to be judged hardcore because he is staying at the dorms.
People who usually stay there were students who came to school from other town or just had to stay there because it was the most affordable option, just like Yeosang.
His whole family disowned him because of his sexuality years ago and he just didn't have any other choice and anywhere to stay.
Yeosang wasn't really upset because he had to live there. He was more upset about the fact that his own mother and father said such a disgusting stuff to him.
His mother was turned to religion and prayed for Yeosang to be "healed" and not to be a sin.
It was the worst period of his life, but Yeosang learned how to cope with it. He found a job and has been saving money for a few years now so he could buy an apartment of his own.
"Uh- You can just leave me at the uni..." Yeosang mumbled, biting his lower lip.
Jongho stayed quiet for a few moments, and Yeosang jumped a bit when he started laughing loudly.
Just like he expected. He knew Jongho was about to laugh.
"You're staying at the dorms? I knew it. You look just like that."
Yeosang gulped. Jongho is so fucking judgmental and a real asshole, and what was that even supposed to mean?
"What?" Yeosang mumbled again, hating himself for not being able to speak up louder.
"I mean, who wears almost the same outfit everyday? It's obvious you are staying at the dorms because you are poor."
Yeosang's heart officially broke. The reality hit him in the face, and he literally felt tears starting to flood in his eyes.
Was this really the person Yeosang was in love with? Because if it is, he really should move on immediately.
"Not everyone is born with a golden spoon in their mouth." Yeosang once again mumbled, annoyed and heartbroken at the same time.
Jongho snapped his head towards him, raising his eyebrow and smirking again.
"Jealous much? Too bad for you." He said.
Yeosang turned his head away from him. Why did he even agree to this? He knew Jongho is going to make him feel like a crap.
"Jongho, stop the car." He mumbled as he rubbed his forehead with his hand.
"What?" Jongho replied back.
"I said stop the car!" Yeosang yelled at the edge of tears.
Jongho's head snapped towards him again, now staring in disbelief and furrowing his eyebrows.
"Why? Just because I said some things that are true-"
"Shut the fuck up already! Isn't making me cry enough for you? You are so fucking pathetic!" Yeosang screamed at him with tears rolling down his cheeks.
Jongho didn't say anything, instead he just stared in shock as the male sobbed.
"Stop the car." Yeosang demanded, sniffing again and avoiding his gaze.
After Jongho didn't do that, Yeosang snapped. He wanted to go away from him and hide somewhere safe not to show his face ever again.
"I said stop the car!" He yelled again, now full on crying.
Jongho finally did as he was told, letting out a shaky breath as he watched Yeosang take his bag.
"Yeosang-"
The male didn't turn to him, instead getting out of the car and slamming the door shut.
Yeosang walked away, crossing his arms and quietly sobbing as Jongho continued to watch the scene. He went over through what just happened in his mind, gulping slowly.
And for the first time, Jongho felt a bit guilty.
