The results can be disclosed any time today.

Everyone was tensed except one guy, Akash.

Avani had a rough week and all she wants is peace.

Peace is such an underrated word.

People often crave for materialistic things and indeed they are mandatory to live a life.

But peace is something which isn't a want but a need.

And Avani lacked it. In her eyes everyone is fortunate except her.

To make things worse, the environment around her was pernicious since she was a new born.

She felt that the classes were taking decades and centuries to complete.

Why shouldn't the classes get finished within a snap of time?

All she wanted to go to a place and sleep in someone's lap who is ready to love her.

She wanted to BREATHE .

After the never ending classes got finished and she was about to leave , there was a quick announcement that within few minutes the winner shall be declared.

All the partners assembled in the auditorium.

Avani had no energy left in her body.

She was exhausted.

She kept her head low and closed her eyes.

All she wanted to stop her heart beat which was racing like an athlete in a marathon.

All of a sudden she heard a familiar voice which was familiar to her, honestly something she was desperate in need.

She opened her eyes despite the fact that they were heavy with sadness.

She saw him, his walk was screaming Confidence.

His eyes had a spark which had the authority to wipe off the darkness in her life.

Never in her life she witnessed a man looking so charming in a monochromatic outfit.

"How can a person look so good in a plain white shirt and pant? "

Not to forget that Avani hates the colour white.

"Hii!! "

.He squealed with excitement.

It felt a bit weird for her to see him so happy.

"Hello "

Her tone was soft filled with voidness. Akash sensed it

"Hey, don't get tensed, every thing will fall at it's place. "

He assured her.

All she could do was to smile.

He was not convinced by her answer and was about to ask.

"Good evening everyone. I would like to announce the most awaited results of the project "Anthropogenic Atrocities ".

Each and every project was thought provoking. But the one which stood out was of.......

Sweat beads formed on the forehead of Avani.

She hesitantly looked at the one who was ready to disclose the result.

"The Project which received the highest score is "Crisis of the Cultured" By Akash and Avani"

Simultaneously a big round of applause was heard which broke Avani from trance.

She looked at Akash who gave her a ear-to-ear smile.

They both went on to the stage and they gave them certificate which hold no use in future and Akash was bored to receive them.

He looked at Avani who was smiling.

For the first time he saw her geniune smile.

Perhaps, he doesn't feel the certificate useless any more.

Everyone departed to their respective home and hostel.

"Thank youuu Akashhhh"

She screamed.

Akash chuckled and closed his ears with his hands.

"You're welcome but that doesn't mean that you will scream your lungs out"

Avani's cheeks redden due to embarrassment.

"I am sorry. "

She held her ears with her hands and was looking directly into his eyes.

Her almond eyes we're beautiful and when she made puppy eyes, her eyes stood out making everything blurred.

"Sab Dundla Dundla lage tujh pe hi focus hai"

(Everything seems foggy to me as my focus is on you only)

These lyrics were all over her head and he unconsciously spoke those lyrics out.

"Huhhh? "

She was confused.

Why did he speak like that?

"What was that? "

"Umm... Nothing"

He shrugged his shoulders and was looking in the other direction not to meet her doubtful eyes.

"Akash, tell me!! "

She demanded while crossing her arms.

All he could do was to laugh out loud as he couldn't control himself from laughing looking at a girl who was half of his height and annoyed.

"I sang the lyrics which felt appropriate."

"Why? May I know the reason Mr. Akash? "

He inhaled and looked straight into her eyes.

"The moment when you were trying your best to apologize me you looked exquisite. "

"Exquisite?"

Avani's vocabulary was not that of a native.

She could speak normal english as she was not in a position to afford to go to a Convent.

The medium of education was the local language and before joining the college, she enrolled herself into a English speaking course which helped her in learning the basic level of english which was enough to communicate.

"Tell me the meaning! "

"I won't. Find it out for yourself. It will help you to expand your vocabulary"

He winked at her and left.

Leaving an ablazed Avani behind.
