BALA POV
"My dear husband, he has been way too busy than usual. I've seen him protesting against the new- government. He has one or the other reason to fight for the people. He's trying really hard to gain people's attention. I assume, that's probably how a politician is supposed to be."
I sat on the bed literally doing nothing since almost a year.
Yes, we got married after 2 months of Akash Anna's death.
Now it's been around 10 months into our new chapter of life.
Still, he doesn't even take a moment to look at me.
There are rumours that he is in relationship with an actress.
I read those articles everyday.
I want to question him yet my upbringing stops me from raising my voice against my husband.
We stay in different rooms and despite us not liking the inside news spreading, the servants always mumble about us.
I always wanted to confront my husband.
But he's always mentally and physically unavailable for me.
He's trying way too hard to avoid me.
I rested my head on the pillow and my breath became even.
Although we our under the same roof, we are separate.
Perhaps, this is what KARMA is all about.
I separated one loving couple and the God separated me with mine.
I remember what my grandmother used to always tell me
"Balahinudini balavantudu kodithe, balavantundini bagavantundu koduthadu."
(If the weak is being tortured by the stronger one, then the stronger one gets punished by the God himself)
Every second feels like I'm in jail.
He sneaks out while I'm in deep slumber and sleeps when I'm awake.
Tears couldn't stop from flowing down my chin and I blinked rapidly.
I took the help of my fingers to wipe off the tears and eyes fell on the cut ring finger not by the wretched memory of pain and agony but an idea sparked in my head which gave me strength to see things on a brighter side.
I got down from the bed and went towards the mirror and smiled with firm belief and determination that I'll bring peace to everyone who has suffered even without their knowledge.
I moved towards the threshold, the one which prisoned me .
I bent forward while my hand rested on the door and tried to look at the other side and I was always timid to move out without anyone's permission.
I forwarded my right leg and got out of the room and most importantly, I didn't look back and searched for Akash Anna's room.
I found it and looked around to spot any person who's most likely stop me to go in.
I opened the door and I found his room being neat and clean.
I looked around and the walls were filled with our childhood pictures and each and every photograph, had a story behind it.
