I've been drawing a lot recently and I wanted to have a little spot where I could post it. I draw mostly my own characters, and would love for you to peruse aha.

I've been in a weird place throughout the past month ngl. I've had a lot of erm. Events. happen, and I think the stress has sort of built up. I recently went about three days without eating, accidentally of course, I just haven't been hungry at all. but it sort of drained all of my energy lol.
I can't draw properly. Idk what it is but all of a sudden nothing looks good to me anymore. Hopefully once my nerves settle down I'll be back to normal.
My grip has changed as well. I've been dropping things more than I usually do. I accidentally spilled fish food all over my floor, which was annoying. Oops.
I've started so many wips and just couldn't bring myself to finish them, but I did finally manage to get this thing completed.
Just a headshot of my character, Red. She's meant to be the main POV character of my hopefully future comic, so it seemed weird that I didn't have one for her yet.

It was easy for me to push myself to finish this I think because I don't have to design her colours, I already have a design for her. But honestly she's a weirdly difficult character to draw. Not her patterns, I have no problem drawing those, but something about the shape of her face makes it just.. hard to construct? Maybe it's the eyebrows.
I'm not super happy with it but tbh I'm not super happy with anything atm.
I think my eyes have been doing weird things lately lol. Things randomly grow and shrink when I look at them, or just feel like their moving in general. I am more or less use to this though, and it should wear off with time. And I hope when that happens I'll like this drawing more :)

Sketches of some baby mermaids, based off of fish larvae. I kept seeing people make mermaids based off of fish larvae, but they were always adult mermaids for some reason? I'd figured that if you were making a baby fish into a mermaid it would make sense for it to be a baby mermaid.
Hopefully I'll find the motivation to take it from sketch to finished art piece.
