I've been drawing a lot recently and I wanted to have a little spot where I could post it. I draw mostly my own characters, and would love for you to peruse aha.

I think that in terms of deep sea animals, there tend to be a few darlings amongst the masses. Things like giant isopods, angler fish, gulper eels, what have you. And while these animals are cool and all, one of the deep sea fish that truly deserves its 'fandom' is the barreleye fish. These fish, above all others, truly look alien.
They're a personal favourite of mine, so of course I had to draw this:

Their large eyes are protected by a translucent "fluid-filled shield", that protects them from the stinging tentacles of the siphonophores they feed from.
