Haechan barged into his warehouse with flaring hot eyes. Mad as his enemy outsmarted them. He kicked the nearest table he could find, things that was once perfectly standing on it fell shattered into pieces. "How the fuck did they outsmarted us" Haechan shouted

Jaemin walked behind him and gave a pat on his shoulder "We have another chance to get them next week" Jaemin said

"I know, but I just want to get this done and over with" Haechan said letting a breath out

"Haechan, your dad wants to see you at the bar" Chenle told Haechan which he replied with a nod and went to the bar where his dad is waiting for him

"You were looking for me?" Haechan greeted his dad with a bow and sat on the couch beside his father

"Oh, Haechan you're here. How was the chase today?" He asked and Haechan sighed

"They got away, Appa. I'll do better next time, i'm sorry" Haechan said and his dad patted his back

"It's fine, stop being so hard on yourself. You did a great job" Hyunmin smiled at his son.

He may be the most powerful and scariest mafia in Seoul but when it comes to his children, he's a whole different person. He would literally do anything for them.

Haechan smiled at his dad

"Anyway, I called you here because I have something important to tell you.

It's finally time, you're getting married" Haechan's eye softens remembering the past

Lying on her death bed, Lee Mina smiled at his son that's kneeling down beside her bed while holding her hand

"Haechan, all I ever wanted was to see was you to grow up. I wanted to see you run to me with the achievements that you've made. I wanted to see you get married. I wanted to be a shoulder for you to cry on. But i'm sorry I can't be there for you during those times in the future, promise me you'll take care of your little sister and get married someday in the future. I'll be watching you and your sister from up there" Mina said to her son that is now sobbing quietly. She wiped his tears and smiled

"I promise you and don't be sorry, Eomma"

Remembering his mother's wishes, Haechan immediately agreed to whatever his dad's plan were. He wasn't going to ask why or who. All he knew was that it's for the best for both him and Lee Group. He knows his dad won't do anything to let him down.

"Alright" He nodded and let a small sigh "When is it going to be?"

"We'll meet them tonight to talk about it" His dad smiled

Nestled on the outskirts of the Seoul, lies a sprawling mansion stood as a monolithic testament to power and opulence. Its grandeur was both captivating and foreboding, a blend of elegant architecture and an undercurrent of danger.

The imposing façade, adorned with intricate stonework and guarded by towering iron gates, concealed the labyrinthine world within.

Areum opened the front door and the maids quickly came to take her coat off and hung it on the coat rack and Areum thanked them.

"Mr. Song is waiting for you Miss. He's in his study room" One of the maids said. Areum nodded and went to his dad's study room upstairs

She knocked on the door and came into the room. "You were looking for me, Appa?" She asked him "Yes. Have a seat"

She sat on the black leather couch and waited for her dad to talk

"I want you to get married to Lee Hyunmin's son. It'll help a lot on our stocks since we'e been going on average these past few years" He said uninterested in his daughter's feelings and thoughts about it

Areum was uninterested with the topic too. She doesn't care about all these stuff. Marriage and love. She thinks it doesn't exist so when his dad said that it's a marriage of convenience for Song Shadows, she agreed almost immediately

"I don't know who Lee Hyunmin and his son is but if they can increase the stocks for us, then let's proceed with the wedding"

Minwoo smirked "I love it when you listen to me. You are my daughter after all"

The restaurant exuded an air of refined elegance and quiet sophistication. Soft, warm lighting cast a gentle glow over the space, creating an intimate ambiance that encouraged hushed conversations. The rich aroma of culinary delights wafted through the air, mingling with the faint fragrance of freshly cut flowers adorning each table.

Areum and her dad was escorted to a private room, where the meeting of both families will be held. The waiter opened the door to the private room and both of them entered.

She scanned the room looking for the people they'll be meeting. Her eyes landed on the only table that was visible in sight. Both Haechan and Hyunmin had their backs facing Areum and Minwoo.

"We finally meet, Hyunmin" Her dad's voice caught Hyunmin and Haechan off guard and they stood up and turned around to greet Areum and Minwoo

"Good to see you, Min-" Hyunmin was speaking when he heard a loud thud

Hyunmin turned around to see her daughter's enlarged eyes, as if she was shocked. Areum's handbag was on the floor and she was standing like a rock.

"Lee.. Haechan?" Areum's eyes were teary

Haechan softened at the sight of Areum

"Areum" He said rather softly, that it almost sounded like a whisper
