The boarding school in the UK exuded an aura of both tradition and modernity. Tall, ivy-covered stone walls enclosed the grounds, imparting a sense of exclusivity and academic legacy. The campus seemed to breathe history, yet it embraced the present with open arms, creating an environment where generations of students had grown and evolved.

Areum was sent to the UK 2 years ago by her dad for her studies but everyone and even herself knew that he just wanted to get rid of her.

As Areum was walking through the dark corridor of her boarding school at midnight, she heard footsteps and fastened her paces. She made a turn to the left to see who it was.

Suddenly two pairs of arms was wrapped around her waist. She jumped by the sudden action and turned around in an instant to fight the person.

"Haechan?! You scared me!" Areum said relieved that it was her boyfriend and not someone else "I'm sorry" Haechan laughed hysterically at her reaction

Areum playfully hit him on his arm "Sorry your ass, why were you following me"

"I just wanted to protect my girl, I cant even do that?" Haechan made a fake crying face "Whatever" Areum glared him

"I missed you, baby. I didn't see you the whole day and you didn't answer my texts" Haechan said staring at her shining eyes. Areum softened and smiled at her clingy boyfriend

"I missed you too Haechan, how was your exam today? I didn't want to bother you" Areum explained

"It was good. Where were you going this late at night anyway?" Haechan wondered and Areum smiled mysteriously

"I need a smoke break, wanna join?" Haechan smirked and nodded "Of course I do"

The couple ran quietly and mischievously to the backyard of their strict school and smoke cigarettes together.

Haechan and Areum have been dating for around a year now. The halls of the school buzzed with the hottest topic on everyone's lips: the mesmerizing connection between Haechan and Areum, the undisputed "it" couple.

Their every interaction was dissected and analyzed, a modern-day fairy tale that sparked endless conversations during lunch breaks and study sessions. Their status wasn't just about appearances; it was the way they complemented each other, creating a dynamic that radiated both passion and authenticity.

"When are you going back to Korea?" Yoona asked, sad that she's leaving Areum next month.

Yoona and Areum were friends since they were kids. They're basically sisters now. Yoona's dad used to be Minwoo's bestfriend, until he died out of a car crash during a fight when Yoona was 10. Minwoo promised her dad to take care of Yoona like her own, that's why both Areum and Yoona were sent to the boarding school here together.

"I'll be there by the end of the year, Unnie. Plus why are you sad? You're the one leaving me so I should be the one that's sad" Areum pouted and Yoona laughed at her cuteness

"Fine, no one gets to be sad. I can't wait for the both of us to be back in Korea again. Last time we went back was literally 2 years ago"

"I know right" Areum's expression suddenly changed "I don't think my dad even misses me and I miss my mom so much, Unnie" Areum fidgeted with her fingers

"It's okay! I'm here, alright? We can always have fun to forget about the people in Korea" Yoona reassured her and Areum nodded

"Anyway! Let's go to class now. 5 more minutes and i'll be late for my class" Yoona said packing up her stuff

"Babe, what do you think of the new teacher" Haechan whispered in class as the teacher was explaining stuff

Areum shrugged "She's annoying as hell" Both of them laughed at her answer and caught everyone's attention

"Haechan and Areum! Stand outside and put a book on top of your head for the whole period!" The teacher said, mad that the 2 students were talking and laughing in class

Both of them shrugged and went out of the classroom like they don't care

"Do you want to escape?" Haechan asked his girlfriend "Anywhere with you" Areum giggled

Once they were out of the classroom, in the count of 123, both of them ran from the classroom.

They snuck into the janitor's office and laid down on the couch. Areum was on top of Haechan and his hands were wrapped around her.

"What do you think of us getting married as soon as we get back to Korea?" Haechan asked while playing with Areum's hair

Areum was shocked at his question and immediately turned around "Are you being serious? We're too young! And plus we both don't even know who our parents are nor have we met them" She said

"I know, but I really love you Areum. We can meet them when we get back and tell them we want to get married" Haechan said

Areum sighed and rested her head on Haechan's chest "I love you too. It's not like I don't want to marry you, but it's just crazy to get married so young"

Haechan smiled "It's fine, we can talk about marriage in the future when we're a little bit older" Haechan said an kissed his girlfriend's forehead
