Patrol fluff

Tldr- Kaiya joins Lloyd on patrol as Foxling, Lloyd is hella reluctant. Lots of fluff.

12/8/2023- While finishing writing this there was a spider in my room and when my dad went to get it, it fell behind my desk so now I'm stuck finishing this with a spider hiding somewhere in my room (it was a super black spider!) 

16/9/2023- welp late writing isn't it? So sorry about that I've recently started sixth form and haven't been able to update my stories a lot more homework and stuff than expected. Quick reminder to follow my tumblr as well it's EmiNinjago.

"What!" Lloyd questions, blinking slowly at his brunette haired girlfriend standing in-front of him. The brunette placed her hands onto her hips, a smile began forming on her lips as she stared at the blonde.

"I said, I'm joining you on patrol." Kaiya replied in a grin, her words sounding as blunt as ever. 

Lloyd rapidly shakes his head, a silent statement of 'absolutely not' or in Lloyds wordings a stern 'no'. In response Kaiya raised her eyes at Lloyd, glancing him up and down almost staring him down and deciding just how dumb he looks and sounds to her.

"Lloyd you look exhausted. You've been working far too hard recently and since I know you aren't going to take a break, I'm joining you on your patrol." She explains.

"I-i-" Lloyd stammered "I'm not exhausted!"

His stammer instantly gave away his shock at Kaiya's statement. 

"You fell asleep during breakfast and you almost went head first into a bowl of cereal. Be thankful Kai noticed you dozing off and picked your head back up before you were covered in milk and ninjabix." Kaiya exclaimed, pointing her ring finger at Lloyd to further prove her point.

"It was in the morning, I was still half asleep." Lloyd protested, his cheeks flared red in embarrassment. He didn't realise he was that tired, he wasn't that tired, was he?

"No excuses, I'm coming end of discussion." Kaiya argued, she walked ever so slightly closer to her stubborn boyfriend.

"Uh, no you're not coming on patrol with me. There could be oh I don't know a full scale invasion of aliens and we have to defend Ninjago from them." Lloyd stressed, adjusting his head to lean back against the chair so his eyes are facing the ceiling.

Kaiya stood completely still, her eyes looked at Lloyd's slumped body in confusion "alien invasion?"

"We just had crystal Zombies! Anything is possible." Lloyd panicked slightly.

"Okay, you're starting to sound a lot like Jay. Calm down." Kaiya walked towards Lloyd and stood directly behind him so she could look down at his head.

Lloyd sent her a pointed look causing Kaiya to sigh loudly.

"Look babe, I'm coming with you on patrol whether you like it or not just so I can keep an eye on you and when we return home from patrol. You are resting." She said in a determined voice, her eyes remained glued to his.

Lloyd opened his mouth to speak, but Kaiya quickly shut him down "Lloyd." She warned her voice low to sound intimidating.

"Fine." Lloyd mumbled to Kaiya, his voice only slightly above a whisper. 

"Hurray." Kaiya raised her arms into the air in triumph, she quickly lowered herself down and pecked Lloyd on the forehead "I'll see you when it's time for patrol"

Kaiya left the room ecstatic about finally convincing Lloyd to bring her along for patrol, even if it was a begrudging agreement and that she only wanted to go to ensure Lloyd was okay. Meanwhile Lloyd stayed sitting in the chair, however his head was raised and his body sat upright as his eyes lingered to the doorway that Kaiya had just exited from. His eyelids continuously blinked in surprise at the conversation that had just occurred between him and his brunette haired girlfriend as well as the kiss on the forehead he had received, soon the blinking turned into a blank expression towards the door and finally a gentle small smile appeared onto Lloyds mouth and a smitten expression in his eyes. He didn't know how long he was starting at the exit or how long he was daydreaming for, but he was broken out of his 'loving' trance by a loud voice alongside tiny chuckles entering the room.
