Chapter Eleven

Peter's Point of View

When May finished her story, the lost boys and I applauded her performance as she bowed gracefully with a smile.

"Encore! Encore!" Cheered little Oliver, jumping up and down and clapping his hands forcibly. May giggled while holding her palm over her mouth as she watched the boys reactions to her writing.

"Can we hear another?" Spoke up Jacob, with pleading eyes. He looked from May to I, waiting on an answer from one of us. May turned her head to me, waiting for a final decision.

"Well...Yeah, why not!" I answered, and the boys aroused even more than before. I Waited for them to quiet down, and the. Looked at May to address her. "But a different story. A more, adventurous, one!"

At first, she looked confused, and then she started to search through her notebook of writings. "Like what?" She asked, when she was sure that she didn't had a clue about what I meant.

A smile reached my lips. "A story about me! And Neverland! Those are the stories that are always the best!" I flew a large circle in the air with joyful excitement as I said my words, hoping May would have a story as righteous as how I explained.

Her eyebrows furrowed and she tapped her fingers on her side. "I'm not sure I have a story like that."

I scratched my head with disappointment, but decided not to let it ruin our day and thought up another idea. "You shall write a story like how I explained and present it once you're finished!"

May didn't seem angry about my choice, and nodded her head with glee. "I think I'd like to write one how you say, that's a great idea. But, it will probably take me more than a day."

I took in the point May had brought up, and concluded our issue. "We will wait!"

May nodded her head agreeingly, and asked another question. "What are we to do now?"

I thought about all the adventures I had planned for these next couple if days. We still needed to meet the rest of the people here, play all of the games, and much more. I knew which one would be perfect to be the first thing we do, as that's teaching May how to fight. Everything else could be possibly dangerous, and we never know when Hook will attack is unexpectedly, so it seemed fit that May learn how to defend herself. I would always be able to save her, but with skills for herself, I might not need to.

"You'll learn to use a sword."

~Shaelynn (May)'s perspective~

As the words escaped Peter's mouth, I squeezed my palms together to calm nerves. I had never even held a sword, let alone used one. I was pretty athletic, but there are many skills contributed to sword fighting, including stamina, stelth, and pure confidence. I'm sure most of my confidence has been washed away by the many comments from my parents.

I thought about my parents and what they might be thinking about how I left. I was sure they would be relieved, but at that moment, I could feel the desire to be actually missed by my parents, or anyone I had left. The only person that had ever missed me to my knowledge, was my nana who had moved away to travel, and even she hadn't missed me enough to visit. I knew how my parents would be acting towards everyone as they asked about my disapearance. They would give a sad sigh, maybe shed a small tear, and talk about what I had been like. They would accept that I was gone, and leave it at that. No search parties, or even flyers, at least not made by them. I was certain that they do miss me, even a tiny bit, and I was sure that they regret some of the things they had said or treated me with, but they would never own up to their duty as a parent and try to find me. It was the best for all of us, because I didn't want to come home. Neverland was my new life, no matter how much I felt as though I still didn't belong.
