Chapter Five

Shaelynn's Point Of View -

"The boy was handsome and intriguing to her, and she couldn't stop thinking about him. His smiling face, his strong arms, his extraordinary features...He wanted to take her away, with him. It was every girls dream, but May, she had to think about this."

My hand cramped as I wrote, but I couldn't seem to stop my ideas from flowing onto the notepad in front of me. As soon as I awoke from the encounter, all I've wanted to do was think about the boy, and my thoughts are always written on paper. It was effecting my studies, for I was writing this paper in class, but I didn't seem to care about that either.

"Neverland sounded like a wonderful place, like a dream. A place where you 'never' want to leave, and May was fine with that."

As I was writing, my paper was snatched from below me on my desk. I peered up, to see my teacher standing before me, now reading my paper. "Oh no Mrs. Henning, I'm sorry, please don't read that." I stuttered out some words.

She finished examining it, and threw it into the trash, muttering some words. "Foolish girl..."

Luckily, the bell rung just in time, and I was ready to be out of the class. I hurried to exit the classroom, and headed to science.

As I entered the classroom, I saw the list if things to do in class today written on the chalk board in the front of the room. I dropped into my chair, and continued to read the list.

"Testing Chemicals- Lab with Partner."

My face drooped a little, disappointed that I had to do the project with Jen. I wasn't fond of her, and I still felt betrayed that she would leave me to be beaten up by those girls.

My gaze drifted to the seat beside me, and I saw that Jen hasn't shown up yet. Maybe she was at another table talking to someone?, I thought to myself.

Most of the class was filled, and Jen wasn't at any of the tables. I continued to search the room, until I overheard some girls behind me, giggling about a paper they had in their hand.

"She's so weird, I mean seriously? Look at the picture!" One girl scoffed, pointing to the bottom of the page.

"She's probably this obsessive about any boyfriends she ever gets, which I doubt has ever happened!" The table of females burst out laughing, clutching each other for support.

Intrigued, I lent slightly forward to get a peek at what was so funny, but the paper was snatched away. "Mind minding your own business? Creep."

A brunette of the group, rose her hand to her mouth and began to whisper into this girls ear with amusement. The whole group started to laugh uncontrollably with them, and they all were staring my way.

I whipped back around in my seat, waiting for class to start. The nosey side of me was peeking out and I had to stop myself from venturing more.

The teacher began to speak, telling us about the lab assignment we would have to do in class today. Rather than be able to listen, the girls behind me distracted me by laughing so much.

"Then once you have the liquid in the glass tube, you-" I took a handful of my hair and squeezed with annoyance, as I heard another giggle.

"Now you may begin your assignment." The science teacher finished, walking back to his desk.

I spun around in my seat to face the two girls left at the table with a scowl. "What the hell is so funny?"

They grinned to each other, and pointed to the paper they once had, but was now in the hands of a completely other group of students. "The freak who wrote that paper."
