Dearly Beloved

At last the flame burns brighter then a thousand suns
The night shifts to day only to be cold and dark
And the rush of water flows slower then it falls

Dearly beloved, we no longer gather under the word of love but the heat of hate
The many trails of despair only make it easier to leave you
You regret to inform the grand scheme of which you lead
Your followers only carry so much pain for you before they begin to suffer your consequences in action
I hope they band together to take you down and you relish in your thoughts of how you could have done better
Knowing it was meaningless from the start
I hated the way you listened with your eyes and not your ears the piercing glare you met so openly only to be filled with tears
Because you thought making others feel sorry for you gave you the advantage
And all your red flags came waving after just for you to realize you were left with no one

When you lost me you lost everything you thought would save you
And at long last you feel my pain
Yet you don't suffer the same way I do
You suffer in silence even when your actions speak so loud
I know you in ways you don't even know yourself
Yet you still choose to make me look like the fool and act in ways that prove my point further
I hope the peace you find in her just reminds you of me
And that the way you solve problems hurts you more knowing I was the only one who understood you

I'll archive our memories and put them inside a box only to store them in a far away place and watch them rot and mold to mush
If you ask about what happened to us in the future I'll simply say we lost our sense of direction
Knowing its a lie we will both hold onto for the rest of our lives
You knew the truth and still hid behind lies one more shouldnt hurt your pride
After all you did this to yourself.
