The tide brought you here.
And just as quickly it pushed you away.
Day by day.
Wave by wave.
The breeze against my skin was cold.
And so was your soul.
I could taste the salt in your words.
The crash and burn.
You were torn apart by the world.
The sand between my toes.
Wet and bare.
It was grainy on my body.
I could smell the earth around us.
The clouds brought in the tide.
The moon our only light.
It became higher wanting to sweep us away.
Like it did the ship.
I wonder how it got there.
How we got here.
We also crashed and broke under the pressure.
The tide to strong for us to control.
The waves to high for us to get out of.
