Hyeras POV :The sun cast a warm golden glow over the park, and the gentle breeze played with my hair as Minjae and I walked hand in hand. It felt surreal, being here with her again after everything we'd been through. As we settled on a cozy blanket beneath a towering oak tree, memories of our past picnics flooded my mind.
We were set to have a picnic together this afternoon, I would've preferred to go to a bar but Minjae wanted to do something together.
Minjae offered me a strawberry with a reminiscent smile, and my heart fluttered at the familiarity of it all. "Remember when we used to have picnics like this?" she asked, her eyes filled with a mixture of nostalgia and genuine fondness.
I took the strawberry from her fingers, chuckling softly. "Hm not really, although we would argue about where to go all the time."
A hint of a smile played on her lips. "I kind of miss those arguments."
I couldn't help but smile back. "Well, this time around, no arguments. Just enjoying the moment." I said as I twirled my fingers around her hair.
"Oh I forgot I got something for you, maybe this would change your mind about going to the park instead of the bar" she excitedly said
Minjae retrieved a small gift box from her bag. She passed it to me with a shy smile, and my heart skipped a beat. "I saw this and thought of you," she said, her voice a mixture of nervousness and sincerity. "What could make me choose the park over having a drink?"
With eager anticipation, I carefully opened the box to find a delicate bracelet adorned with a heart-shaped charm. My breath caught, and I felt the weight of her gesture.
"It's beautiful, Minjae," I whispered, my eyes shimmering with emotion.
She looked at me with a soft intensity, her fingers brushing my hand. "I hope you like it"
I nodded, my voice catching in my throat. "I love it"
Her hands cupped my face, and her lips met mine in a kiss. Pulling me in for a hug. I felt comforted, warm. I pulled in closer to her, as we sat there for the rest of the afternoon, flirting and laughing about silly jokes.
headed home, our fingers remained entwined. On our way, we bumped into the bartender from my go to bar.
"Hey! It's a pleasant surprise to see you away from the bar," she playfully quipped, a rosy hue gracing her cheeks as she gazed up at me. "And who might this be? A friend of yours?" she inquired with an air of curiosity, her fingers fidgeted nervously.
"We're not exactly friends," I responded, a certain sense of pride knowing that Cho-Minjae was my girlfriend. She seemed to miss the nuance, replying, "Ah, sisters then! I understand," a flustered demeanor evident.
"I've been meaning to ask you this for a while," she admitted with nervousness, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Would you be interested in grabbing some drinks sometime?" she proposed. Glancing at Minjae, I observed her cheeks turning a delicate shade of pink.
"I'm not exactly in the market right now," I politely declined, Minjae grasped my hand tightly before continuing our journey back home.
"Feeling a bit Jealous much?" I teased playfully.
"It's not my fault everybody wants to sleep with my girlfriend" she nudged my shoulder.
As Minjae and I walked back home, a charged energy seemed to hang in the air, a mix of flattered awkwardness and unspoken desires. The moment we entered our cozy apartment, the atmosphere shifted.
Our eyes locked, the intensity of the unspoken connection sending a shiver down my spine. Slowly, she closed the distance between us, her fingers brushing softly against mine as they intertwined. The weight of her gaze felt electrifying, like a promise of something untamed yet to come.
With a gentle pull, she guided me towards her, her lips hovering millimeters away from mine. The anticipation was almost overwhelming, a tension that had been building up for a while. As her lips met mine, a spark ignited, setting ablaze the chemistry that had simmered between us for so long.
The kiss started slow and tender, a gentle exploration of each other's emotions. But the heat that had been building couldn't be contained, and soon the kiss deepened, becoming more urgent, more passionate. Our bodies pressed closer, a mixture of longing and desire fueling the fire that had been smoldering within us.
Minutes felt like an eternity as we lost ourselves in the heat of the moment, the world outside our apartment ceasing to exist. The taste of her lips, the warmth of her touch, the intoxicating scent of her hair. all of it consumed us entirely.
Eventually, we pulled back, breathless and flushed, our eyes locked once again. "We should've done that in front of your waitress" Minjae playfully teased, wiping the lipstick she just smeared on my lips. "Why didn't you?" I playfully grinned.
"Next time you decide to go to the bar, we won't be so sisterly" she teased playfully.
