HEY POOKIES SO LIKE SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING FOR OVER LIKE...10 DAYS :') MY BAD YALL. MY WIFI HAS BEEN KIND OF TRASH, SCHOOL HAS BEEN GETTING MORE STRESSFUL THAN EVER (I literally refuse to study) and ontop of all of that somebody has been stealing my shit at school (rip my lunch money) also I'm quite frankly out of ideas and my last chapter was soooo mid, like I literally just wrote parts of it in different parts of the day so it literally made no sense after I read it once I posted it, I can't think of any plot to continue from that chapter but hopefully it comes to me while writing this :'). I'm sorry for disappearing</3
Enough ranting now here's your chapter ;)
Hyeras pov :
"It's been a week since I heard from Blondie. She's probably up to something or maybe, just maybe, she decided to grow up for once. I guess We both know what's more likely.
I've been trying to keep a clean slate this year, but things aren't going as planned. I've got a great girlfriend and two close friends, I'm grateful for. I've been keeping myself out of trouble.....mostly, but I keep ending up in situations like this.
If this was me a year ago, I'd have played some games, had fun with it, but honestly, I'm just tired of it all. I've been thinking about facing my past and present for months now. I wasn't proud of who I used to be, but I can't change that.
So, I told myself, for a change, I'll be the bigger person and try to sort things out with Blondie. It's tough to hold back, though, after dealing with different people for months on end. "
..................
"This morning, I awoke to find my bed empty, which was odd. Ever Since Minjae moved in, it's unusual to not wake up next to her.
I let out a groan and rolled over to reach for my phone, discovering a message from her. 'Heyy, Hy, school needed me early today. I left breakfast on the table. DO EAT! love youu!!'
A smile formed on my face as I replied with an 'I love you too.' I didn't have to head to school for another four hours, and I now had the house all to myself, which felt peculiar but strangely peaceful. It gave me the opportunity to contemplate how I might approach Blondie, even though I still didn't know her actual name.
I sat up in bed, rubbing my eyes as I began my day. Minjae had prepared a healthy breakfast for me, a clear sign of her concern for my well-being. In response, I chose to disregard the breakfast and reached for a bottle of wine, along with some leftover dinner from the fridge. I know I promised to be more mature, but some habits die hard.
I settled onto the couch, turned on the TV, and got engrossed in a reality show until Minjae returned home.
"Hey, Hy, did you miss me?" She inquired, setting her belongings down and joining me on the couch.
"Mhmmm," I responded, my attention still fixated on the reality show I was watching. She cast a brief glance around the sofa before her eyes settled on the untouched food she had prepared for me.
"Seriously? Takeout and wine? I'm amazed you're still alive," she remarked, returning the bottle of wine to the fridge and taking the takeout plate from my hands.
"Hey, come on, you know I can't stand 'breakfast' food is food," I protested, smiling and feeling a bit flustered by her caring nature.
