We got to the ice cream place and there were only a few other customers. We walked up to the counter and made our orders. I got an Oreo cookies 'n cream  Ray got mint chocolate chip ,and Hudson got vanilla & raspberry swirl.

We sat down and had small talk while we ate. Little by little I got to know more about Hudson. Once you get him out of his shell he is really pretty awesome.

I found out that he is a single child with both parents and they are all really close. Every summer they go on trips and doing crazy things. He says both his parents make a lot of money so that they can get things to make him happy and pay for family trips. The next trip is going to be over the upcoming break. That's going to be in a week and we'll be off for two weeks. I almost forgot about break because it usually just means I'm going to have to hide from my step dad.

He said that during those two weeks his family is going to their beach house. He showed me pictures from his iPhone from last time he was at the beach house. He said that nearby there was a cool place to go snorkeling and at his house they had a pool and Jacuzzi.

Since it was Friday Ray asked him if he'd like to come over. I talked Ray into telling Tara about his boyfriend. I asked Hudson if his parents knew about his sexuality and he said they did and they were supportive. They were even helping programs that helped LGBTQ people. (LGBTQ = Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer) They didn't know that he had a boyfriend though.

When we got to the house we heard screaming. Ray ran to the door and it was already unlocked. We ran in and found that it was Tara yelling at Brianna.

"Why the fuck would you even be bullying someone?!" Tara yelled.

"Why the fuck would you even be friends with that bitch?!" Brianna yelled back.

I looked at Ray and he was staring at the two of them. "What do we do?" I asked.

He shrugged. "Let 'em go at it as long as no punches are thrown."

I looked back at Hudson. "I'm sorry this isn't the best first visit over here."

I looked back at Tara and Brianna to see Tara clenching her fists and looking like she was about to explode.

"There is no excuse for you to bully anyone! Do you even know what Alex has gone through?!" Tara shouted.

"She'll get what's coming to her! It's her fault for being such a fag!" Brianna yelled and immediately realized what she had said. "Tara I-"

"Your calling her a fag? Then what am I to you? I thought we were friends, that you supported gays." Tara said. She looked less angry and more sad.

"I... Your still my friend but... I can't... I don't..." Brianna looked over at us and then back to Tara. "I still like you as a friend I just don't like what you are. I never have but I pretended like it was okay."

"So you took all the anger you had about me being a lesbian on the next one you could find?!" Tara was furious and so sad at the same time. Tears were falling from her face and she was shaking slightly.

"You don't understand! How could I not be pissed off?! I find out my best friends gay and that makes my problem even worse!"

"Problem? What problem could you have besides being a bitch to someone that deserves better?!" Tara was seriously looking pretty scary at the moment. I'm surprised Brianna hasn't actually yelled back at me yet.

"Being in love with you!" Brianna yelled. Her eyes widened she began to panic.

Brianna loves Tara back? She loves Tara and she didn't think she could have her or that she didn't like her that way so she starting bullying me when she met me in school freshman year? What the hell?!

"You love me?" Tara asked. Her voice had lowered and it was softer that normal now.

"I do..."

"You should have just told me. I loved you to. But after hearing about what you've done to Alex I can't see you the same. Just leave Brianna." Tara said.

Wait what? She isn't going to date Brianna now that she knows she loves her back?

"You loved me?" Brianna asked.

"Go. Leave and don't come back here. You blew any chance you would have had by doing something so cruel. Leave now." Tara said.

Brianna squeezed her eyes shut and turned. "Goodbye."

She walked past us and didn't even say a word to us. Tara fell down onto the couch and I ran over to her side.

"Will you be alright Tara?" I'm so sorry."

"You didn't do anything Alex. I'm... fine. I hate to say goodbye to Brianna like that but she had no right to do what she did." Tara looked behind me and tilted her head to the side. "Who are you?"

"Oh this is Hudson. He's..." I stopped and looked at Ray.

Ray took in a breath and reached for Hudson's hand. "My boyfriend."

"W-what?" Tara asked.

"I didn't tell you because I honestly didn't ever want to be gay but I need to own up to it. And be glad to have him." Ray kissed Hudson's cheek and Hudson's face turned a deep red.

"Aw! He's adorable!" Tara jumped up and engulfed Hudson in a hug.

I guess she will be fine.
