I'm on my third and this is getting fun. Usually that's how it goes. The first one is always a little tough. Then it gets easier as I get used to thrusting DEIMO into the heart of all them. We don't know when and how they emerged, but the tiny little creatures found in the woods near the creak, suddenly grew big into 15 feet tall, murderous beasts. And then father had no other option except kill all of them. And maybe use a portion of them in combat against other lands.
Since the Delphirs (Garou was one of them) are only found in Thestronia, it makes us the most powerful. There really aren't other creatures except the Delphirs. I don't really enjoy the killing part as much because I constantly get compared to Luci. My brother, as much as I love him, its hard to get compared to someone who is more that twice as powerful as me.
"AGGHG!!" I leap onto the next pillar, aiming to jump on to the head where the horns lay.
It whips its tail right before I make the huge jump and sweeps my legs. I hit the ground hard and taste the sand. Sere, this one is called. Somehow its uglier than Garou. I quickly get up and run straight towards its legs. I stick DEIMO into its tummy and start making my way up it's body. Now I'm perched on its back as it stands on the two hind legs. I slip and slide on its slimy behind and almost lose balance.I get a good grip by grabbing its long furs and climb on to the head. It shakes violently. I pierce DEIMO straight through its head, making a slice in between its eyes. Blurry, red pupils stare back at me. It's mouth falls open and it sways back and forth before it hits the ground causing a quake.
DEIMO is covered in blood from the hilt to the tip. Its jewels at the hilt still shine brightly underneath the maroon, thick blood. I shake the sword in attempts of cleaning it a little.
"Bravo, little one. Better than yesterday. What did you change from last time?"
Oh shit. Father was watching?
"Uh, yeah. I focused on agility more this time." I said as I nod my head slowly without making any eye contact. He of course doesn't offer his hand, what if his hands get dirty? Can't imagine that. I almost roll my eyes at the thought. I look up at him. Tall, burly man with a grey curly mustache. His blue eyes stare into my soul as he assesses my answer. Probably satisfied, he gives a small nod and I get up from the ground.
A huge slash on my stomach, a gash on my forehead on top of a scar I had from a week ago, a fractured index finger and two totally battered knees. Apart from that, I'm fine. In the infirmary, Reina treats me today.
" Princess, can I get you anything? " she asks me.
" Will you please fetch my brother? " I ask her
Half an hour later Lucian enters the room, limping. If I could kill 10, Luci could kill about 30, which he probably did.
"What?" He asks me.
"Wow, you look like shit." He gives me a huge smile. One which I could slap him out of.
"What the hell, Luci? I thought you would convince father. I just want one day off. One day. I am not even good at this stupid shit."
"Okayyy, calm. You know he won't listen to me. Despite the fact that you think I'm his favourite. Plus, you know what we are preparing for, don't you?"
I just scrunch my face at him. I'm done fighting monsters all my life. Just for him to dismiss me.
"We are preparing to go to war against the king of Delphirs. Who lives in Monter. We need to practice. Both of us being in the kingdom helps in our strength. You know all that, don't you?"
Words that come out of his mouth feels like they are far away. His bloody fingers comb through his golden hair. His hair is tainted with maroon blood.
